As Airi was waiting for the shift to start, time was going by terribly slow, she now only noticed that it was 9:30 AM, her shift starts at 10 AM and sighed, but since she still knew some recipes from the Sengoku Era, and looked around the area to see what she could use, not to mention if she could figure out using them since she is not fully used to things in this new era, now known as 2024

She looked at the selection of items and then thought of foods to make, even side dishes from the Sengoku era if she could think of one, but soon gave up and just decided to make one of the dishes that came with the Café and made a omelette with ketchup decorated on it that made a cat , with small side dishes

she turned to look at the time once again, now noticing that it was about to turn 10 AM and looked around to see if any of her co-workers were already there, looking around for them and it didn't take long for her to find them

Once the first customers arrived, Airi started serving the dishes and drinks while her co-workers are taking orders and cleaning tables, making sure to make sure the food looks good before the customers get them, even when the customers are satisfied with the food they eat and leave the Café with a smile, Airi was happy to know that she did well on her first day of work and felt proud of herself.

But soon her boss told her to take a break, because she noticed how hard Airi was working and said "You can go ahead and take a break, I will handle the rest for a while, I don't want you to push yourself too hard on your first day here", and smiled

"O-Okay!, Thank you very much!!" , She said while bowing down, being respectful, as usual, Her boss is used to it by now since she had always been this way, but her boss didn't really get hints that she was from older Japan, from the Sengoku Period specifically

The Boss's name was Ms. Suzuki and is in her 30's, but is also a good cook, as she was in the kitchen before she had the Café, and was also kind, which made it easier for people to come back and visit the Café

Ms. Suzuki's husband also works at the Café, his name is Mr. Suzuki, and is in his 30's like his wife, he also helps her run the Café and takes care of the kids while Ms. Suzuki is working

Soon Airi's Break was over and was back to work, as her boss said "Alright, your break is over, but make sure to keep doing your best, alright?", and smiled at her, she nodded and got back to work, she went back into the kitchen to prepare more orders for customers and eventually served them to customers that ordered them, it was a tiring day for Airi, but she didn't mind and just wanted to do her best at her job and made sure to finish off her shift

Even if today was a busy day for her at the Café, she still had fun serving the customers and making stuff that did not really exist in the Sengoku period, getting to try a few more things, well make them at least, even when she did not know what they were, but she had a fun day, even when she had to go back home and get ready for bed, she was looking forward to another day

It was around 6:50 PM when she finished, one of her longest shifts at the Café, it was a fun experience for her despite still needing to gain more experience but she was still pretty good at her job and a hard worker, The doctor, that she sometimes visits, has a theory that it could be because she was a Onna-Bugeisha, and she was dedicated to her work back then but it is what it is

Airi started walking home, it being about a 20 minute walk, and was humming some old tunes from her time that she really enjoyed, not really wanting to enter this new culture's music, well at least not yet

After 20 minutes of walking, she finally arrived at her house and walked inside, she changed into more comfortable clothing and went into her room, taking out the small book again and took out the Kumano brush, dipping it in ink and wrote in it in traditional ancient Japanese on how everything was that day, not minding much of this new era, well she got a little more used to it but still is overwhelmed by alot of things

She put away the small book and brush back into the box, and stood up from the desk, walking to the kitchen and started making dinner, humming silently while she was cutting some green onion and other stuff that go in Ramen

She started boiling the water, adding the noodles into it and then putting in the rest of the ingredients, letting it boil, she then poured it into a bowl and started putting the green onions in, some seaweed, a Tamago (Egg that is either hard boiled or soft boiled) some chashu and some sesame seeds as decoration and took out some chopsticks, set it down on the table and ate it, slowly growing used to eating on a table

While eating, Airi was thinking about all the things that happened that day, from waking up to going to her job at the Café, and was satisfied with herself, she was happy that her life is getting better and was glad that she was starting to adjust a little better to the 21st Century, and was looking forward to a better day tomorrow, even if it might be the same but she was looking forward to it

Once the clock rang 7:40 PM, Airi started to wash the dishes and then went back into her room, getting her things ready for bed, like setting up the futon and preparing her maid outfit for tomorrow, if she has time for work tomorrow

She went into the bathroom and got a towel out, taking her clothing off and took a shower, sitting down on the chair and got the water running, sometimes staring at herself in the mirror but only for a few seconds, and just continued washing her hair which took about an hour

Airi eventually finished taking her shower and stopped the water, standing up and wrapped the towel around her body and grabbed another one for her hair, and left the bathroom, drying herself up and took on the pjama's (idk how to spell, send help)
