I woke up to see a pair of blue eyes staring back at me.

Nothing unusual here.

"Hi Sienna. You're up early aren't you. What's wrong?" I ask.

"Are you kidding me?! It's your first day back to school! New friends! I remember my school days. They were the worst days of my life. Anyway, back to topic. You need to get dressed we have about half an hour. Come on!"

Sienna has ginger-brown coloured hair and blue eyes. She's about 17, a year older than me. We've been friends for nearly five years now. Oh yeah, and there's the fact that's she's dead...

I grab my school clothes and run to the bathroom. I'm going to be late. As always.

I quickly get changed and brush my teeth, no time for breakfast. I grab the blue plastic hairbrush from the windowsill and quickly comb my black hair and throw it up in a ponytail. No time for much more. It takes about twenty minutes to get from my house to the school. Not much time.

I run back into my room and grab my schoolbag. I stole a quick glance at my clock

8:15

"Merda! I'm gonna be so late! Sienna! Why didn't you tell me the time? Or woke me up earlier?"

Sienna replied with a shy grin.

"Sorry. I guess I forgot. Sorry." Her big blue eyes looked up at me.

"It's fine," I sighed, "Come on. We need to go."

I ran out of my room and grabbed my keys, which were beside the front door.

Sienna was already in the car waiting for me.

I jumped inside and started the car. There was no way I was going to get to school on time. Unless....

"Sienna, you know the way you live me," I said batting my eyes, "Could you possibly do the time freeze thing?"

Sienna sighed and looked at me.

"Fine. But remember, it comes with a price."

I nodded my head. I knew what was about to happen.

Sienna could freeze time, but only for about 10 minutes. It came with a price. Pain.

Sienna closed her eyes and concentrated. I felt a burning pain in my stomach. The pain got worse as each minute passed.

Sienna's eyes fluttered open and everthing froze. I started the car and raced down the road, passing all of the cars and not bothering to stop at lights.

It was weird when everything was frozen. It was too quiet.

I could see the school in the distance but the pain was making it's way up to my lungs. If it went on any further, I could stop breathing.

I made the car go faster until I arrived at the school.

I looked at Sienna and she nodded.
Her eyes closed and she glowed a bright green. Everything went back to normal.

I found a space and parked my car. I grabbed my bag and opened my car door. Already I could hear the people laughing.

Sienna was already out of the car and was looking viciously at the laughing pupils.

Of course no one could see her, but I appreciated what she was doing for me.

I got out of the car and slammed the door shut behind me.

I looked around and saw that for a change, people weren't laughing at me, but at a girl I've never seen before. She must be new. She had curly brown hair and glasses.

I stormed up to where the girl was.

"WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?! WHAT DID THIS GIRL EVER DO TO YOU? VAI A FARTI FOTTERE!" And with that I stormed off.

Way to go Emily, just ruin any chance that girl has at popularity.
