In the dangerous island:

Multiple impacts rung across the landscape before trees and hills blew up. Black lighting with shades of multiple reds scared off the monstrous beasts that watched how two human beings clashed like volcanic eruptions, shifting and changing the island's demography.

A shirtless wounded and bleeding boy soon enough could be seen dashing by making multiple sound breaking barriers before he was upper cut by an older white bearded man. This shook the ground as black lightning rose to the heavens before the young man raised his leg to deliver a sudden single twirl kick to hit the left side of his head that caused the same haki phenomenon.

Both spat blood at this before they blasted to opposite ends.

The older man smiled through the pain as he stood up and saw Luffy land to his face, making a crater before slowly crawling out to smile with several teeth missing and his eyes going white from pain and exhaustion. Three days. Constant battle.

No meals. No sleep. And no water but the passing rain or eating the fruit of nearby trees which were scarce due to the harsh seasons of the island.

Rayleigh huffed to take off the coat he had which was bloody and ragged with holes by this point, revealing his pectorals and muscles under with equal bruisings as Luffy punched his own chest much like a gorilla to not give in to his weakness to maintain his senses active.

"... Grruhhmmn... So... Painful...! I can't even sit down..." Luffy said, coughing up blood as Rayleigh had lost his glasses a long time ago. Good thing he has a spared near the campfire of the untouchable tree.

"... What did you expect, young sprout? I may be old, but even at this age I must discipline you for doing... Such a thing with my wife, Shakuyaku." He said, his eyes reflecting a serious tone that made Luffy's spine dance with fear.

"Rayleigh... I didn't want to do it at first but from playful words... I played along until I saw how much of a great woman Shakky was- Then curiousity... Then- GGGAAUUOOWWWW-!" Luffy ducked a tremendous kick as haki lightning traced around the young pirate made a full push up before Rayleigh's foot smacked him down into the ground, burying him. Luffy felt like if a giant had stomped on him, the pressure pressing him down to deform like playdough.

"𝐌𝐮𝐠𝐢𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐚. 𝐈 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮. 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐞. 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐧𝐨𝐰." Rayleigh said, making Luffy's eye atrophy to then push upwards despite the strength. This signaled Rayleigh to let Luffy go who used Soru to get out and sit down, gasping out soil to obtain air to fill his forcefully compressed lungs.

That's when Luffy stood up to cough out the last rough patch of grassy soil to clear his throat.

"That's the problem with you old men. Even if we realize and acknowledge our failures... Your generation can't forgive-! And I won't stop saying her name-! Shakky may have lead me on but I accepted- and that's something I am sure not regreting-!" Luffy spouted his whole body becoming vulcanized before both powerhouses used Conqueror's haki, clashing in between to enact their force to seem locked in place in the air as trees were uprooted and the land was shaved off grass to leave the stone foundation under.

Both broke off to opposite ends as Rayleigh now walked in a circle as Luffy followed the pace.

"What's done is done. I thought you would be smarter to repent, at least pretend, in my presence. But I see you truly meant your sin. That... Doesn't make me the least happy. Shakky is my empress. And even if you don't love her or anything of the sort... 𝐈𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐬 𝐦𝐲 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝..." Rayleigh said before curling his body in pain, his abs cramping up "No matter. With my hits, I know you will learn manners and morals. Monkey D. Luffy." The old pirate said.
