The beta squad arent famous in this situation. Theyre all just normal people. aj and sharky still have their nicknames bc theyre jus shorter versions of their actual ones. (maybe not aj idek) chunkz is jus amin.

So there they were sat in Niko's bedroom. Aj sat on his bed, Niko taking his place on the floor. Having their last conversation. Ever? Probably. 

"I just don't understand it..." Aj sighed, tears still flooding in his eyes. "Everything was going so well. We were going to get married one day!" 

"I know, baby. I know." Niko hadn't cried. He had to be brave for them both. He was being forced apart from his love and couldn't do anything about it. 

"I'm sorry about all this. I didn't mean for it to happen." Niko said.

Aj scoffed "It's not your fault." He said sourly. "Can't blame you for something that your parents are doing."

"I tried so hard to convince them I swear!" Niko looked at Aj sadly. "But my mum just wasn't having it. Having a gay child is an embarrassment."

"She's completely against it..?" Aj asked, already knowing his answer.

"Why do you think she's moving us across the country?!"

"We could still talk..."

"Aj, I had to beg her not to read our messages, if she finds out we're still talking I'm a dead fucking man!"

Tears started to pour from Aj's eyes once more. He never thought the day would come that he would be separated from his love. Especially not like this. His heart ached, his world was coming crashing down. 

"I can't..." Aj sniffed "I can't live without you."  

"I know." Niko said. He was trying so hard to be nonchalant about everything. Once he showed a little emotion, it was game over. He would cry and cry until he had no more tears left to cry.

"This, this isn't fair! We shouldn't be forced away from each other just because your stubborn ass mother can't get over herself for a second and understand her kid just wants to be happy!" Aj spat. He was pissed. He hated how he had absolutely no control over his situation and hated even more that all he was doing was crying. He felt weak and useless. Without Niko he had nobody. 

Well, that wasn't entirely true of course. Aj had his best friend Amin. He loved Amin with all his heart and valued their friendship to bits. When Niko told Aj over the phone about their situation, the first person Aj had gone to was Amin, He cried to him and didn't hold any tears back. Amin comforted Aj and promised him that everything would be alright. He told him that maybe this was all for the best, that better things were coming his way. 

But Aj didn't want better things. Aj wanted Niko. Niko was Aj's everything. Every waking moment, Aj would spend thinking about Niko. Whenever he was upset, he'd just reread their old messages, knowing that they would cheer him up. Without him, what was Aj left with?

"This isn't fucking fair, I can't do this!" Aj shouted out. He was fed up and so tired of being forced to deal with heartbreak time after time. Just as soon as Aj thought he could finally be happy, the universe just told him to stick it up his ass and die.

"Life's not fair, Aje. That's what my mum told me."

"No." Aj said. "Like, I actually refuse. We're gonna make it out of this together I promise you!"

"No we aren't Aj." Niko burst Aj's bubble immediately. "Face it, we aren't made for each other."

"I don't believe that." Aj mumbled.

"You should. Its the easiest way to get over me."

"But I don't want to!" Aj cried. "Why are you so damn quick to accept that this is the end of our story?!"

"Because it fucking is, Aj, alright?! We can't do anything about it, I've tried everything!"

"You're pathetic." Aj glared at the man sitting on the floor.

"I'm just trying to keep my heart intact. You should think about doing the same."

"I can't live without you, don't you get it?!"

"Well, you're just gonna have to learn because we aren't going to see each other again!"

"Are you seriously gonna turn, what might be our last conversation ever, into an argument?"

Niko sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose and slouching down a little more. "No. I'm sorry. I'm just, I don't know anymore."

"Its fine. If you don't have any hope that's fine. I've got enough for both of us."

"I never said I don't have hope."

"Well you're acting like it."

"You don't know what I'm acting like." Niko growled. 

"Then stop being such an insensitive dick and open up for once in your life!"

"I don't have anything to say I don't feel anything!"

Aj laughed "You're seriously taking the piss you know that right?!"

Niko sighed out once more. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry." 

There was a silence. Usually the two were really comfortable with silences. But this one was painful. 

"Does love even exist?" Aj asked.

"I'd hope so. What I felt with you felt really real."

"How many damn times have I told you that you're like perfect for me?!" Aj went on.

"Hm." Niko hummed sadly. "Many times."

"I wasn't fucking exaggerating Niko! We both know how much this hurts but we also both know I love harder than you do."

Niko sighed. "I just don't know what to do. Or say." 

"I know." "I'm going to miss you."

"Me too, man." Niko said. "Me too."

"Hm." Aj hummed.

"This is a little sad."

"Hurts so bad. I swear it hurts."

"I'm sorry."

"Stop apologising man."

"Sorry." Niko said with a light chuckle.

Aj smiled. "I love you, Nik."

"I love you too, Aje."

Niko's phone rang. "Hello?" He asked. "What, now? Please a little longer?" Niko sighed. "Alright. I'm coming." Niko took his phone away from his ear and looked back up at his lover. 

"I have to go." Niko said, starting to get up.

"So, this is goodbye forever then?"

"Guess so."

"Don't forget me." Aj begged.

"I couldn't even if I tried" Niko laughed. "Don't forget me either though."

"Never."

Aj got up from the bed and opened up his arms. Niko immediately wrapped his arms around Aj. "I love you, baby."

Aj choked out a sob. "I love you Niko."

"Goodbye." Niko whispered in the shorter mans ear.

"Bye."

Those where the last words the two men spoke to each other since Niko left. 

Forever? 

Who knows.
