Chapter 2

| 9 days after the extermination |

2:30 pm--

Husker's P.O.V:

...days past and everything was going normally, nothing out of the ordinary and nothing out of "routine" was happening, so i turned my shoulder and tried to relax...that was a mistake .

I was exhausted , i spend the last a few days going through all the documents and contracts noticing how much lose i have managed to encounter this year during the extermination...i surly lost many souls ...too much for my own liking.

The weight of these issues only added more to the stress , and staying locked up in my office doing a what seems like an endless amount of paperwork wasn't helping .

I needed to get out of here .

So i called up my driver and informed my assistant That I'll be having a break , i didn't tell her where i was going because even i didn't know where to go, i just wanted to leave .

And so i locked up my office and headed to the car, once i got there , i informed the driver to keep driving until i tell him to stop , he looked skeptical and wanted to say something, but he knew he wouldn't get much out of me , so he just sighed and started driving.

The car was moving and the warm breeze of pentagram City was hitting my face gently sending a weirdly nice comforting sensation and i couldn't help but drown in my own thoughts as i watched the deferent views before me change with each territory we stepped in.

I sighed in relief as we finally left the larg territory of the Vees, that place never succeeded in pulling my interest, the bright lights and loud atmosphere of it only gave me an unpleasant headache.

We reached Cannibal town , Rosie's territory and i couldn't help but smile , i missed this place it's been a while since i last been here, I've been so caught up with work that i forgot how awfully nice this place was, it felt... human.

3:18pm--

I told my driver to make a stop , i needed someone to talk to anyways, and who's better than an old friend to pour your heart to ?.

I walked around looking for her, and when i finally did, the excitement rushed all over me like i wasn't stressed two seconds ago.

"Rosie!!" I called out to her and she immediately turned around from whatever conversation she was having with her clients .

" my, my ~ look who the cat dragged in ~ ... literally" she said jokingly and i couldn't help but reply sarcastically " HA!. HA!, yeah very funny " i rolled my eyes but a smile crept into my lips " Don't roll your eyes on a lady like that mister, where did your manners go?" She said glaring at me playfully, Classic Rosie , she never fails to keep us in check huh?.

" My deepest apologies ma'am it won't happen again" i said going a long with her as i bowed taking her hand in my paw and kissing the back of it which made her giggle.

" that's more like it !!. Now Husker where's my hug? i believe you owe me one after leaving without even sparing me a call " i knew she was joking but i felt bad regardless, she was right i could've at least called and checked up on her , i made a mental note to do so every weekend.

She hugged me tightly lifting me off the ground and leaving no space for me to breath ,that woman is stronger than she looks i swear to god .

" yeah, Sorry about that Rosie. I've been quite busy lately, you know , with the whole extermination and all..i ... I've fucked up Rosie...big time." I said already emptying a load of emotions on her.
