Mermaid Cove

Pier stood at the edge of the deck watching the waves go back and forth, he thought about Renee and why she was trying to figure a way to help the Fugitive Leon, Pier met Renee in Aloveria but he wasn't a lord or rich man only a poor man who was starving on the streets. He wanted to eat but he didn't know how he would find food, his clothes were ripped and his body was dirty he was sitting in the darkest corner of the Alley but he saw the light, he saw Renee. She offered him food, clothes and anything he desired if she would get his loyalty in return and since Pier had nothing to lose he gave her his loyalty that was the day his life changed. He had known Renee the longest, she was a cold and crazy woman, she loved to be the best, she was beautiful beyond words and she had strong magical power but he didn't know everything about her, where was she from? What had she been through?
"Land Ho!!!" The man in the bird's nest yelled, Mermaid Cove was just in the distance. Mermaids were magical creatures that lived in the ocean as humans they didn't get to see Mermaids as much as Pirates but they weren't as great as they thought and someone who really hated them was Renee, they may have been beautiful but she didn't like the fact that they had to have human saliva to get human legs so it meant they had to be kissed. Another reason the Renee didn't like them very much was their King, he was so eager to marry Renee not just because of her beauty but of her powers even though Renee didn't use it much, his eagerness became obsession and so every time Renee gave his captives he would always try to flirt with her. The sun was setting and soon the evening would come, Renee sighed as she thought about why she wanted to help Leon, he was a fugitive, he was totally not handsome or maybe? He cried and she hated the sight of crying men or humans but her heart wanted to hug him, why!!!!? She yelled inside her head to calm down she decided to get her violin, putting it on her chin and striking the bow she played, the song wasn't happy but sad and it echoed along the ocean that was how powerful the instrument was, making everyone who heard feel the sadness even down to the prisons where Leon sat. He could hear the violin but he wasn't concentrating on it, more like the pain he had in his heart and he knew that pain would never go down. His Father was dead and he was blamed for the death, how? Why? Who? He needed to figure out the answers but he was trapped with Pirates and they were going to sell him back to his Kingdom to face a punishment that wasn't even his, he needed to clear his name. He heard the sound of boots walking down, it was Pier and some men
"Take them" he said to the men but Pier was opening his cage
"Let's go" he said Leon got up, Pier tied his hands so he wouldn't escape and pushed him forward, the setting sun hit his face revealing his brown eyes that were red from all that crying, Renee had them stay on deck till they reached land so it gave her time to think, Leon also had his mind up in things but he gave a look at Renee who was playing her Violin again. The music was beautiful but the woman who was playing was crazy, why would she even play it at this hour? He asked himself the sun was gone and dusk was still there, the ship was resting in the shallows and the long boats were being rowed to the cove, the water wasn't deep but being filled with mermaids was one thing, the crew put the captives on to a rock with their hands in the air tied even Leon then waited in silence.
Renee was busy sharpening a knife to pass the time but it wasn't long till she saw a shadow in the water. Leon could see fins on top and when the rest of the body could be seen he tried to wake himself up, it looked like a man but his ears had fins, his hair was long black, he was shirtless but when looking down he saw scales and his eyes were red. He was still in the water
"Ahh, Renee what brings you to my cove" his voice was deep and some how deceiving
"Why couldn't one of your servants come and do this?" Renee asked standing on the shore
"Because I would miss the opportunity to see you and that would be rude of me" He said, do these two know each other? Leon asked himself.
"You know why I am here" Renee said, the merman bend to see the captives
"Well in order to do my job I need to see them first"
"Bring the girl" Renee ordered to bring Shania to her, Renee held her rope and pushed her towards the merman
"You want me to kiss her?" The merman said
"Hurry up"
"I won't and if you do expect me to then forget about helping you"
"Fine, who do want to kiss?" Renee knew she was asking the wrong question
"Who do you think?" He smirked, Renee rolled her eyes and Leon was hoping it wasn't her, she pulled his neck and their lips locked, the merman smiled knowing he had won and the kiss was sweet but once they were done Renee wiped it off
"Now, put this on" she handed him a long shirt and he put it on, he stood up and walked toward the captives, he examined them one by one. Leon was kind of shocked about the kiss but why did he care? The merman came to him and Leon gave a disgusted look at him, his red eyes looked like siren eyes and he gave a boring expression
"Why do you have a fugitive?" He asked Renee
"I'm taking him to Terria so we can collect the bounty"
"Very well, but I felt some hesitation from you during the kiss"
"Let's not dwell in the past, besides why do you care?"
"Valin is looking for him as well as any Assassin"
"I own the Assassin's Creed, nobody moves or kills without me knowing"
"But I fear for my queen, Valin isn't as nice as I am"
"I know and don't call me that, give the captives to your servants, we do need to discuss something"
"Alright"
"Pier get Leon" Renee went to the long boat and The merman sat with her, Pier put Leon on the boat with them and Renee rowed back to the ship. His hands tied and his face looking at the bottom of the boat, this was a really awkward situation, he already didn't like the Merman and certainly didn't understand why Renee took him with them. Climbing the ladder back to the ship, Renee waited for the men on the deck she was trying to get that merman's kiss of her lips, he was the king anyway but she hated being with him
"What do want to talk to me with this insignificant Human" he said crossing his arms and looking at Leon
"So I'm insignificant?" Renee asked
"You're an expectation, sweetheart"
"I know your powers as King is that you can see the truth in Humans, see the truth in him" she said
"Why would I waste my powers without an reward"
"I'm not kissing you again"
"Then forget about my powers"Renee growled in annoyance, but she had to find out the truth of Leon's words
"Fine but only after" she said sighing, the merman smirked in happiness and turned to Leon
"My name is King Rojè, King of the Mermaids and I will use my power to see if you have truth in you" Rojè hated touching humans but since he was going to get a kiss from Renee from this he decided to do it, he touched Leon's forehead with one finger and closed his eyes, Rojè could see his memories, his past and some of his future. He could see the night of the party when he gave King Henry the wine then he could see him leave the Crystal Kingdom.
"He is true to his words, he didn't even know about the King's death"
"I told you I didn't kill my father" Leon said
"Rojè come with me, Leon don't try to eacape" Renee and Rojè went down to her office
"What do plan on doing with him? I know you won't just hand him over" Rojè said
"Somebody killed the king and blamed the Prince who had no idea of his death, I can't just stand by"
"Is there another reason you're helping him?" Rojè asked raising his eyebrow
"No, I just want the truth"
"Renee, Crystal Kingdom is Valin's territory, you wouldn't go past the pact you made or else you would have to have Swashbuckle and you know how dangerous that is"
"I know but if I ever come across Valin I won't back down"
"So you're going to help him and I can't stop you"
"You know me well"
"If you ever need a helping hand here" Rojè gave Renee pearl earrings
"Just touch them and I will know when to come and where"
"Thank you Rojè"
"Now before I leave can I have my reward?" Renee kissed Rojè on the cheek and he smiled, they went back to the deck where Leon was still standing, Rojè stood at the edge
"Prince Leon, I saw something about your future and if you don't take care of the possession in front of you I will hunt you down and kill you till then I wish you a safe adventure cause it's about to get more than this"
