Disclaimer: Warning the Fan Film I'm basing this off of contains body horror, mutations, mutilation, and gore. Discretion is advised. Watch and find out it if you want to.
I had nothing to do with the production or the channel. Just liked the film. I'm basing it off what I can remember from seeing it four times one night and every other Spider fact or thing I could write and remember. I hope they make a follow-up and show body horror versions of some of his villains.
In the fan film, there is no Norman or Harry cast, so think of whoever you want as a face claim.... and Gwen only has one line.
I don't have any involvement with the copyright holders, Sony or Marvel. I just referenced everything I could to fill this out and expand.
Enjoy.
" in the Spider Verse there are few spider-men who chose to become villains... or worse monsters. - Miguel O'Hara
You area spider. It's something you don't have a choice in. And spiders are predators. They kill to live. They kill to live. They are not hampered by humanitarian ideals or impeded in their lethal efficiency by delusions of morality. They are pure. Powerful. As God made them. There are no merciful spiders. There are no vegetarian spiders. It is now time for you to face and accept your true nature. - From the 90's James Cameron Spider script treatment.
When Harry worried about Peter, it was about Flash. Gwen would wonder if Peter thought of her as more than a friend. But that day in class truly changed their priorities with their friend. Peter sleeping in class should have made him similar to some of the other students.
But when Gwen tried to wake him, they saw him in a terrifying transition. In the brief moment she made contact with him, his skin felt rough, cold, and clammy. When he lifted his head off his desk, he didn't jump. Groaning in excruciating pain as blood came his nose. An excessive amount of drool coming from his mouth. Bleeding from his scalp with his hair already damp from his own blood.
"Parker. Oh Mister Parker."
"Peter Wake up."
"Are you asleep in my class Parker?Their teacher ushered everyone into the halls, focusing on the straight-A student in agony. Everyone could hear his pained wailing. The sounds and sight of Peter from earlier making several to their stomachs. Gwen could have sworn she saw something move under Peter's shirt. Something slowly lashing out and extending from his insides when Peter was finally brought inside an ambulance.
She wished she could have rode with him. That she could somehow calm him down or ease his suffering. It wasn't her infatuation. It was her imagination running wild in this nightmare. One where she was just one of many victims. She didn't want her father picking her up. She wanted to tell Ben and May herself that Peter was suffering through something. Knowing that the couple was too old fashioned to have cellphones. And that they could be out of the house when the school called about the medical emergency.
Harry could only describe Peter's screams one way. That he was being dragged through six circles of hell when he was breathing. He wished he was there on that field trip instead of preparing for football practice. Ever since he ended up in the best shape of his life, he wasn't there for Peter. He never had time for his best friend. He hated himself despite finally reaching the status he wanted in school.
They both had so many questions and worries that grew worse with what happened to the ambulance.. All the paramedics inside were killed, and Peter was missing. It was a bloodbath inside, and unfortunately, the crash wasn't the cause of every death. Slash wounds found on two of the paramedics.
Gwen relayed more information to Harry when she pried it out of her father and his case files. The men who raised them couldn't be more different. George Stacy was overprotective and suffocating. Norman was distant, harsh, and well connected. May and Ben were surrogate parents to them as well..
The news of their deaths and the remains rocked them to their core. The DNA evidence collected was a unique process with unbelievable results. First, it was thought to be contaminated with animal DNA, then it was confirmed to be Peter.
Harry and Gwen couldn't believe it, but Jameson's news segment helped them piece it together. Especially with the spider webs found on every crime scene.
Harry had hoped his father would help. Something Gwen questioned, but Harry trusted. This was new. The source of Harry's faith in Norman was the manipulation and addiction his father had in place. But to Harry, it was just the advantages his father was finally providing him. Guidance and attention that were making him superior with a serum.
Harry begged his father to help his friend, and Norman obliged. Making promises and having George stay on the case. Getting ahead of the Daily Bugle and its stories. Not doing so much as stopping the presses but burying the new stories. The journalist Eddie Brock substituting pictures of Peter's current state with that of a cartoonist hairy man Spider instead of the bald monstrosity it was.
Norman's feelings as always came from his own interests. This was an opportunity he could never pass up. Knowing that even in the worst-case scenario, he could have something recovered for analysis and dissection. Peter was always like the son he wanted, nearly ideal. But the Spider, the entity he became, was even better. The Spider was something that no longer wore the face of weakness known as humanity. The Spider didn't have the weight of innocence. It was an animal of unrestrained power, something only he would put on a pedestal. The only loss he acknowledged was that the intelligence Peter had might be lost forever.
But when the body count rose with the victims being tracked down, he was proven wrong. It was not just an inhuman abomination acting out of instinct but a cruel cross-species with an IQ. The Spider didn't just stumble onto Mary Jane Watson and tracked her down. It tracked and found her with its knowledge. Norman truly felt lucky after this MJ's shredded remains were found. Stabbed by one of the small blade like Spider legs.
And to make things better, his other endeavor was giving great results. Harry was finally becoming the heir he should have been years ago. The boy would do anything to protect his best friend no matter what he became. The serum had already taken the boy so far, so Norman kept other toys on standby. Keeping the Kobold Arsenal, the weapons and glider in active development. Preparing the lessons he would give in his son in order to use them.
He had George Stacy at his beck and call, soon to be in his pocket or the palm of his hand. He had people looking around the city for others, undergoing experiences that made them more than human. Hoping not to find people who survived but apex predators.
By counting Harry and Peter, he could account for six. His boys being a part of a hell of a team... His team if things turned out like he wanted then to.
Might make a happy ending au version of the ending because it reminds me of this Spider verse comic. Where Noir and A six armed version of Peter travel to one dimension to recruit/ save another Peter. One where the Spider bite hospitalized Peter, May, and Ben weren't home when the burglar broke in. Their Peter mutated into man Spider, they cured him. And that Parker family had a happy ending.
