i want to know what happened
to all these beautiful things?
all these puffed french ball gowns
covered in expensive materials
and pearls and jewels
i think they got worn out over time
big white wigs with ribbons in them
they had to be so uncomfortably heavy
but, honestly, is there a thing
that people won't wear
just because it's uncomfortable?
there is not, fashion is fashion after all
humans will do anything to look good
even kill themselves sometimes
all those goreous, stunning buildings
castles, palaces and golden jewellery
they got old or ruined, torn apart
my porcelain heart hurts me
when i think of pretty things
that are all dead now
it's like they lost their souls
even if i know that they don't have
and never will have any
rest in peace, you, pretty things
from the glorious rococo era.
