( the present )

AFTER A LONG DAY of boring classes and trying to find Audrey, Claire finally had a moment alone as she walked around the grounds of Auradon. Soon she had to go to a dress fitting for Ben coronation so she was soaking in the peace.

At least that was until Theodore came up from behind and joined her. "Hey, Claire! How were your classes?"

"Hi, Theodore," she greeted her friend while shuffling the two books in her arms. "Uh they were fine, a little boring."

"What about yours?"

"Same as yours," Theodore said.

"Oh, cool." Silence fell upon them, nearing knowing or having anything to say as they continued to walk down the halls.

Theodore observed the people that past by, he asked Claire, "did you notice everyone's hair is different?"

"What?" She asked confused. Claire had been off all day since the incident in magic history so she hadn't see anything different with anyone. Until she looked around and noticed something in fact
was very different. "Is there a secret midnight salon that I don't know about?"

Her current company laughed at her words, "Apparently Mal has been using a spell that changes one's hair style on those who ask her to."

"Mal?"

"Yeah. Maleficent's daughter?"

"Oh!" Claire shrieked when she realized, "that must have been what happened with Jane's hair and why this morning Fairy Godmother wasn't very happy about it."

"Really? Jane let Mal do her hair?"

Claire hummed as she continued to share, "believe me, I was there!"

"Wow, the villain kids even managed to taint innocent Jane with the wickedness. Never thought I'd see the day."

"Hey! They're not that bad," Claire defended their four newest classmates.

"Yes," Claire sighed. She really didn't wanna spend her time trying to convince another person that the V.Ks weren't that bad. They're just the children of bad people. "I have to go, Theodore. I have a dress fitting for Ben's coronation."

"Of course," Theodore groaned softly.

Claire turned in the opposite direction waving goodbye to him as she went.
