"What the hell's wrong with you? I already said I'm sorry!"

I rolled my eyes as I continued walking. Sorry, my ass! Ano'ng akala niya sa 'kin? Tanga? Na kapag nag-sorry once, okay na lahat agad? After niya 'kong gagohin?

"For fuck's sake, Kaelyn, will you stop walking?"

He gripped my arm and twisted it so I would be facing him. It hurt that he was being so aggressive. And it pissed me off big time.

"Let go of my arm. You won't like what I'll do next if you don't. That's a promise." I warned him, my expression deadly.

He only snorted, not taking me seriously, and kept the tight grip.

"Let's talk about this. You're being a bitch!" He hissed.

"Ohh. You haven't seen me in my bitch mode yet. This is just a preview of it. So, if you don't want to witness it first-hand, I'll let go of my arm if I were you." I said, matter-of-factly.

"As if matatakot mo 'ko. You're just a woman. You're weak, and you think you're stronger in bed---

He wasn't able to finish off his sentence when I threw a punch at his face.

"Who's the weak one now? You fucking asshole! Don't ever come near me again. Hindi lang 'yan ang mapapala mo kung susubukan mo."

I shook my fist and left him on the concrete floor, probably about to lose consciousness for a moment. Oh, I can throw a punch, alright. He messed with the wrong girl.

"Next time, know who you're dealing with. Asshole." I said before turning on my heel and walked away.

I headed to my car and decided to rest for a bit. Minutes later, I could feel my adrenaline wearing off. And my fist started hurting like a bitch. Ang kapal talaga ng mukha no'ng gagong 'yon. Kahit na tinatamad akong lumabas, ginawa ko pa rin. Ayo'kong mamaga pa 'tong kamay ko. I need to iced it. Buti nalang at may 7/11 na malapit.

"Welcome to 7/11, Ma'am---

"Ice. Where's your ice?" A man suddenly appeared from behind me. He was heaving profusely like he had just participated in a marathon.

Huh? He was looking for ice, too What a coincidence.

"May tig fa-five pesos po ba kayong ice? 'Yong nakabalot sa ice wrapper?" Tanong ko sa cashier.

That caught the man's attention. He looked in my direction and I know this may sound cliché, but he's got the most tantalizing pair of eyes. I'm not sure which color they were since it's already nighttime, but I think they were something between blue and green. Damn, I could stare at them all day.

A snap of someone's fingers brought me back to reality. I had to blink for a couple of times before realizing it was the guy.

"Sorry, were you saying something?" I asked, clearing my throat. Nakakahiya.

"The cashier said there's only one ice left. Would you mind me taking it?" He asked, hopeful.

"Umm, no. But would it be okay if we share? Let's split?" I asked back.

He looked at me curiously. Probably formulating a reply.

"Do you need it, need it?"

"Kinda." I responded by raising my now very red fist.

"Damn, girl. Who's the lucky person?" he whistled as he examined my fist.

"Just some asshole who called me weak but is now the one sporting a black eye." I shrugged.
