The week had passed quickly and it was the day of Midsummers. Me and Sarah spent the week with the Pogues, hanging out, fishing, hiding from social services or whatever they call it over here and John B finding a clue about his fathers disappearance. We broke into a grave yard and Kie volunteered herself as tribute to climb through a tombstone which gave a tape from Big John. It was an eventful week. I also spent every evening with Rafe. Trying to get away from the Pogues was hard but Sarah always helped me find a way. Never the less, me and Rafe would go to the beach each night and stargaze till our eyes felt heavy. We laughed and talked about the things we've called and done to each other in the past and how stupid we were to believe we wasn't flirting. And sex, lots of sex.

But I still felt heavy. My head was telling me some awful things. That I wasn't good enough to be in this world and that's why my Dad did what he did. That I deserved to be where my Mum is. That I don't deserve the love Rafe gave me. I couldn't shake these feelings and I would sneak more and more coke when I could. I didn't want to, but the feeling took me back every time. I was addicted. Sarah and I made up and I had told her I had stopped. She hadn't caught me since and didn't decide to tell Rafe about our little argument last week which I was grateful for.

I got ready at Sarah's throwing on a little makeup a dark grey glittery headband, leather look leggings and a tank top. I wasn't getting dressed up for the occasion like everyone else as I'd be working. Not that I'd want to anyway, but I couldn't wait to see Rafe in a suit.

"I'm going to Heyward's, I'll guess I'll see you there?" I smile at Rafe as he lays out his suit. "Yeh, don't miss me too much," he grinned pulling me into him placing a kiss on my lips. "I'll try not to," I smirked back holding my arms round his neck. "Serious question before you go though, are you okay? You've seemed a little off this past week, not your fiery usual self," he asked looking at me with concern. I wanted to tell him that I've felt crap, not because of him but because of my life. I didn't want to be a burden though so I smiled, "I'm good, don't worry," I whispered planting a kiss on his nose. I grabbed my bag and headed out.

Sarah gave me her old bike to use to get across the island when I couldn't fetch a lift. I cycled to the port to meet Pope and his Dad. The weather was scorching and I was instantly regretting the decision of putting leggings on that stick to my thighs.

Once I arrived at Heyward's seafood I saw Pope and his Dad loading up the truck. "Hey guys," I smiled starting to help grab the crates to load. "Hello Eliana, thank you so much for helping today, you're always my best helper," Pope's Dad said putting his arm round my back. "Don't worry about it!" I beamed smiling over at Pope who was worried about going today. He hated working the Kook events. "So we've got a barbecue stand today, frying up sea bass, lobsters you name it, Eliana I'll need you to take the orders and Pope can skin the fish and I'll cook," he ordered. "Yes sir," I spoke finishing up loading the truck. Pope pulled a face at the thought of skinning the fish which made me giggle.
