HIS CHÉRIE (#1)

Holi 💓

We roamed around the resort all day yesterday.
Today was Holi.
There's no way I'm going to play holi with veer
No no no I cannot.

I just woke up and thank god there was no one in the room. I guess everyone went to play holi in the mandir.

I freshend up myself and got ready wearing white clothes.

I can still wear white clothes even if I don't want to play holi.

I decided to chill whole day watching TV, reading books etc.

I got out of the bathroom and someone threw flowers all over -

VEER-
AIN'T NO WAY I'M PLAYING HOLI WITH HIM!

He threw a whole plate of flowers at me and was still waiting with eight more plates in the room which I didn't notice

"Happy holi is it?" He whispered in my ear

"No-
Just-
Just leave me alone alright-" I said stuttering

He walked towards me but no colour was applied to him nor it was in his hands.

"K-kya hai-" I asked stuttering but he didn't reply and went towards the table

He took the colours out of it.

I knew what was coming next-

Before he could come forward and apply the colour.

I ran out of the room saving my life.

He came behind me running and I kept running until I escaped the resort.

There wasn't any way that he was going to find me because the resort was also crowded due to holi.

I was resting at the gate when I saw veer coming towards me

GOD NO! PLEASE HELP!

I ran out of the resort and went straight to Prem mandir as it was near the resort and very crowded.

I kept running and he was still behind me.

All the people were throwing colours at us but we escaped somehow.

I went where the whole crowd was and stood there.

There is no way veer can find me here.

I was hoping that but then I saw veer holding colours in his hand and running in my direction

I was hiding behind Prem mandir when two guys came and whistled at me

"Ayehayeee kya maal hai" He said coming towards me

"Kya? Kisi industry me kaam karte ho kya bhaiya?" I asked

"Ae kya item hai re tu." Other boy shouted at me

"Ayein? Bhaiya matlab?" I said again confused

"Abe yaar-" he said fisting his hands

"Didi, maaf karo hume. Galti hogayi jo aapko ched liya" they said running away

I saw veer coming towards the backside so I ran in crowd.

He saw and followed me

I ran further escaping from colours and people were in line throwing colours at us.

I ran behind the curtains and he ran behind me throwing colours but I was fortunate enough that not even one colour touched me.

I was hiding behind a pillar when someone pulled me in a corner by my waist

I knew who was it. Veer.

"Caught you." He whispered in my ear and applied colour all over me.

He's gone. I'll apply colour on him now.

I ran applying colour on ahana and she ran behind me.
She threw three plates of colours but I escaped.

I finally stood but when she was about to throw the colour at me, I threw a plate of colours all over her and ran away.

She finally held me and pulled my ear

"Caught you." She said pulling my ear more

"Ahana it hurts-" I stuttered

"It should hurt!" She said and left my ear

She pulled me close to him and threw a plate of colours at me.

She tried to run away but I held her dupatta and pulled her.

"Leave. Me. Alone." She said angrily

"Arey aise kaise, holi ke din tumhe range bina hi thodi jaane dunga" I said

"Dekho, leave me alone. Waise bhi I'm not your real girlfriend ki tum mujhe colour lagaoge." She said

"Are holi ke din real kya fake kya. Colour to lagwana padega." I said
She was running away when I held her hand and threw water by pichkari all over her face.

I pulled her into a corner and looked in her eyes. She was shy. For the first time. So was I but I needed to do something first

"Close your eyes." I commanded her and she did it.

I went close to her lips while I kept holding the bucket of water and-
And-

"what are you trying to do-" she said stuttering but I didn't answer her.

I kissed her cheek and before she could respond, I threw the bucket of water at her.

"MEHRA-" She yelled but I ran away holding her hand.

"Revenge completed." I yelled

I went to the centre where there was a couple stage and pulled ahana there.

"Happy holi" I said and danced holding her

"Same to you.." She said stuttering

And we danced. This all felt surreal.

I went downstairs to drink thandai and ahana was still dancing

Well, seeing her dancing happily brought a smile to my face. It's always great to see her not being worried about anything and having a good time. I felt joy and it made me appreciate the moment even more.

I went to the stage again and danced with her.

I felt dizzy after sometime. Nauseous. Everything circling around me-
