I gotta admit
This is a pretty elaborate prank
But don't get me confused
You still haven't called or showed
And I won't let myself get used
Last time I tried to reach out
I was simply refused
After so many times
It makes it easier not to return
If I have any smarts in my head
You'd think I'd start to learn
Even though no witch has burned
She might as well be dead
Still ashes in a heart shaped urn
Bringing them out into the light
Still won't bring about her return
I could sit and wait all night
But every time I look
She still hasn't written in her book
