Town of Kaycen, Fiore, Nov-1st-X795

I was trying to digest what this blue-eyed monkey had just said: A guild packed with Dragon Slayers. Wasn't Dragon Slaying magic supposed to be something very ancient and rare? If all the kids that were harassing me back at the guild were Dragon Slayers, there must be at least two dozens of them!

"That's correct." A voice said from behind me, a female voice.

I looked over my shoulder at a girl my age strolling up to me, her arms crossed, hazel eyes scanning me with detail. She was my height and had a tree branch in her mouth that bounced at her step. She had green colored hair, just like the feathers of a parakeet, and it was tied just two inches before it's end in her lower back. She wore wooden colored leggings that went a little below the knee and laced sandals. She styled it with a simple olive colored top. So Axel had the green eyes, but this girl had the green look.

"We are all Dragon Slayers, similar to that Natsu, Gajeel and Wendy of yours in Fairy Tail." She reiterated.

My heart twisted uncomfortably at Natsu's name but I tried to ignore it and not let it show. Well, that news just proved that the world is one big place; Or at least Fiore is. Who could have possibly imagined?

Right behind the girl, a giant followed. Well, to me he looked like a giant, he was easily scrapping two meters in height. He had red bloodshot eyes, evenly tanned skin, a very muscled body and a contrasting soothing aura; he must have been at least a year or two older than the rest of them. He had short hair, almost bald. His body looked rock solid and kind of reminded me of Jura. He was wearing garnet colored sailor pants and a mustard-colored T-shirt that looked like it could rip apart at any moment.

"Don't feel intimidated Miss Lucy. We have a special place for you even though you're not a Dragon Slayer" He said with a soft smile.

He was definitely the older brother type.

"What do you mean?" I asked, a little confused.

Did these guys seriously want me to join their guild? Wasn't Axel just trying to comfort me when he welcomed me in last night? After a couple hours of sleep I kind of thought that was all a play not to let me out back in the snow. But there were just so many things that felt off with this.

"Axel told us." The sweet voice of Master Blossom came to my ears.

I turned around to the entrance of the cave to face her, the silhouette of the old granny marked by the light from the outside. Beside her, a silver-haired beauty with one of the gentlest smiles I have ever seen.

"That you were kicked out of one of those big guilds because you were too weak. We, the members of the Dragon Riders' guild, are not particularly fond of those big guilds. Because of their fame they take all the good paying jobs while we all starve here as country bumpkins." She said as she walked past Axel and reached me.

"I am sorry, but I don't understand why you would want me in your dragon slaying guild when I am a Celestial Mage and come from one of those big guilds." I said, sincerely confused by the flow of events.

"Because" Axel started, his tone serious and even a little angry.

"You are living proof that those guilds worry about nothing other than power. It just gives us more motive to beat the living hell out of them!" He said in a determined manner and flashed a battle hungry smile.

"So what we are offering you, Lucy, Is a special little power-up." She finished.

She extended her hand and within it were three pearls, one red, one green and one blue. They were small but their appearance was misleading. The intense magic energy radiating off them was making my knees tremble.
