Chapter Two Cillian:

It was annoyingly bright out, I had been feasting on some guy when the sun started rising so I ended up stranded in a forest with trees tall enough that they almost completely blocked out the sun. I had to leave the poor man splayed on the floor, most likely already dinner for crows and whatever other animal was desperate enough.

The only upside to this whole ordeal was I didn't smell werewolf, I hated fucking werewolves. They're annoying barbaric idiots. It did startle me a little bit though. There are normally always at least a few werewolves roaming… unless there was a pureblood hunting them. I lift my head slightly sniffing for the faint scent of death but a coppery smell from somewhere up the hill hits me instead. I follow it, my instincts, dragging me up the hill until I see a small clearing ahead. I freeze the scent that was hidden by the blood becoming clear to me. It reeked of death and destruction, pure blood for sure. As for the source of the blood, there was a lady whose neck was sliced ever so slightly. My body reacted to this girl as if I knew her, adrenaline pumped as if she was a close friend. I groan running a hand down my face and right as the pureblood looks up I'm there tackling him and ripping into his flesh.

He threw a hand and tore cuts into my chest as I bit down and repeatedly ripped chunks out of skin. He got a good punch on my face before I tore out his neck and he went limp.

He wasn't dead. Vampire pureblood or halfblood can't die from something so simple, but he'd be stuck here healing for at least two days. I wipe my mouth though it doesn't do much to help considering I'm coated in so much of it it looks like a bathe in it. I hear a whimper let out behind me followed by a choked sob and something that almost sounded like a gag as leaves crunched the sound getting a little duller suggesting they were backing away. I look down and realize my skin is starting to get red. Shit. I hadn't thought when I ran out into the clearing to attack this imbecile.

I get up and grab the lady by her waist before moving again and almost instantly being in a thicket of trees.

“I'm not going to hurt you.”  I had grit out while she stared open mouthed very clearly dumbfounded. I move to lean against the tree and wince. Shit he cut me deep all for this dumb woman I didn't even know. I felt black pricking at my vision as I brought my hand down to dab and the wound to see how back it is, crap its deep, if I was human I definitely would have needed stitches.

I wobble a bit and the woman's brows seem to lift. I can't read her face, the world is spinning.

Then it all went black as I felt myself slump against the tree.
