So days past..... Neil and Shalini didn't talk with each other.... Neil used to avoid Shalini..... and it hurted Shalini the most...

Why it hurts so much...without talking to him.... I know we don't talk that much but still the argument.... at least we communicated with each other... but this time he is not even making an eye contact with me....
Shalini was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't notice that the teacher was calling her.
"SHALINI...!!!!!!" Teacher shouted.
Shalini jolts up. "Yes ma'am"
"Where is your attention?? Huh? I'm calling you since 10 minutes and you're not replying to me"
"I'm sorry ma'am" Shalini bows her head down.
"No problem... don't do that again....!!!!!"
"Yes ma'am"
|NEIL'S INNER VOICE|
Why do my heart aches by seeing her getting scold from the teacher? No no Neil don't think about her....!!!! She invade my personal matter...... and all the girls are same.....!!!!!
Neil smiles by thinking this.
Shalini notices it.

Oh so he is smiling after seeing me getting scold.... what I'm even expecting from him...... that he will come and talk with me....
Shalini sighed and got back to her class work.
After school......
It was raining heavily... and Shalini forgot to bring umbrella....
"Ughhh why did I forget to take the umbrella.... Mom warned me so many times......"
She was waiting for the rain to stop....suddenly a lightning is seen in the sky.....
"Ahhhhh----"
She grabs somebody's hand tightly..... That person didn't say anything.....
"Thank you---" Shalini couldn't speak anymore..... the person was..
Neil Verma.
"Oh I am sorry--" Shalini was cut off by her words.
"No problem" Neil looks away.
There's a awkward silence there...
Neil notices outside and saw some boys... which are not good... He looks at Shalini and then looks at them......

I can't leave her here... It's not safe... She's my enemy but after all I'm a human and she's a girl... So it's my duty to help her reach home....
"Shalini" Neil speaks
"Hmm" Shalini replied
"Take this umbrella and go home"
Shalini replied by widening eyes "Butwhat about you?"
"I-i can manage"
"No I can't leave you here and get soak in rain"
"Then what should we do? Stand here all night?"
"Who said you to stay here?"
Neil remain silent.
"Listen just go with this"
"No no no no" Shalini continuously denied
"Why are you acting like a stubborn kid?" Neil said with frustration.
"You haven't seen my stubbornness... This is nothing compared to it..." Shalini said with a mischievous smile.
"Fine tell me your home..I'll drop you off"
Shalini couldn't believe his words.. the boy who hate her the most is now offering her a ride.
"Ah.. well its_____"
"It's near.. hop in the car immediately otherwise you will catch a cold" Neil said by looking away.
"Why are you showing care towards me?"
Neil remain silent and called his driver.
"Answer me...!!!!" Shalini said in a yelling tone.
"I'm not bound to answer you" Neil replied with stern voice.

Woah... Here he is again with his attitude... I thought he was becoming soft but no... There he is with his bitter words which hurt me like a knife.... I don't know why his words matter to me.... I don't know why I feel very sad when Neil doesn't talk to me.. what this feeling called?

"Oh yeah sorry" Shalini said by being flustered.
In the whole ride both of them were silent... Shalini was keeping glances of Neil and his beautiful ocean blue eyes meanwhile Neil was busy in his thoughts....

Why I helped her? Wasn't she my enemy? Why I immediately forget everything when I saw her in danger... Ughh my head is aching due to this thoughts... What's happening ?
