[Future]
Do I really want to go back to Beach City..? The last time I was there I was the resident babysitter for my younger brother. I love my brother but his constantly being dumped on me sucked. My phone buzzed and I looked down at it. It was Steven. I answer "Hey Steven."
"Hey...are you still coming to visit?" He asks sounding nervous. Steven has been looking forward to my visit.
I smile to myself. "Yeah, buddy I am."
[Time skip]
It had been years since I'd last visited the beach house. It looks..very different from when I last saw it. "Y/N!!" Steven yells running out to me. He had grown so much. "Holy shit! You're tall!!!" Steven tackles me to the ground and hugs me tightly. I smile and hug back. He then quickly pulls away. "I have so much to show you! As you can tell...a lot has changed since you left." His smile slowly falls. "I missed you." I smile and hug my little brother once more. "I missed you too Steven..." I pull away and ruffle his hair. "Now show me around your dork."
[8 hours later]
Steven dragged me all over to see what he and the Crystal Gems have been up to. It was nice seeing some of them again...except for Pearl. She still doesn't like me. Especially when I left. I don't regret leaving but...I regret leaving Steven here. I know I should have taken him with me but I couldn't take him from his home.
"Y/N!!" Steven yells from down the beach. He had our dad with him. I smile and stand up brushing off the sand. It had been so long since I'd seen Dad. I wasn't expecting him to have cut his hair. "Holy shit! Your hair!" I yell not meaning to say it out loud. He laughed and rubbed the back of his neck. "Yeah, this was a recent thing." We all sit down together for lunch.
Later on, the others join us. Even if they didn't eat they still wanted to see me...well Pearl stayed distant like always but at least she showed up. "I'm surprised you're here..." Pearl says crossing her arms. I sigh and try to ignore her. "Uh-huh..."
Everyone looks back and forth between me and Pearl. "Anyway...How has traveling been?" Steven asks trying to change the subject. The rest of lunch and the evening was tense. Pearl was making passive-aggressive comments the entire time I was there. I felt bad for Steven...He shouldn't have to deal with all this.
