“Daddy?”

A tiny, sleepy waddled in his
father's home office, jaguar plushie
tightly pressed against his chest.

“Hi kitten.
How are you feeling?”

Minho asked his little boy as he
helped him on his lap and placed
a soft kiss on Akemi's head.

“Sleepy.
And hungry.”

“You're hungry?
That's good.
Daddy made some chicken
soup for you.”

“With noodles?”

“Are you up for some noodles?”

But at the direct question,
the little one only shrugged and
curled up in his daddy's arms.

“I dunno.”

“Then let's make some, you eat
as much as you can and daddy
will eat the rest, okay?
And then you'll take your
medicine, hm?”

“No! Yucky!”

“But you still feel a little icky, hm?”

Minho chuckled when his tiny
son nodded, a cute pout forming
on his face.

His flushed cheeks and sweaty
forehead told the ravenette that
Akemi was still a little feverish but
since he was talking way more than
the day prior, Minho knew that
he was already feeling better.

“Come on, let's prepare
some noodles.”

The tiny boy squeaked cutely
when his father lifted him up in
his arms and stood up to carry him
to the couch in the living room,
making sure Akemi didn't
drop his plushie.

Their three cats meowed softly
when Minho placed his little kitten
on the couch and wrapped his
mommy's fluffy blanket around
him and turned the TV on to keep
the small boy entertained while he
made his way back to the kitchen.

The pot of chicken soup still stood
on the stove, ready to get
heated up again.

And while Minho started cooking
the noodles, Akemi giggled softly
when Soonie crawled closer.

“Hi kitty.”

He smiled cutely when the orange
cat nudged his wet nose against the
boy's cheek, sniffing him softly before
he licked his chubby baby cheek.

“Did you sleep too?
You look sleepy.”

But the feline only purred happily
as he snuggled his face against the
little boy's chest before he dropped
himself on Akemi lap to give the boy
full access to pet his fluffy tummy.

“Snuggly kitty.
Mommy says I'm a snuggly
kitten too.”

Soonie meowed cutely when
his favorite small human
caressed his tummy.

“Well, you are a snuggly kitten.
Mommy is very right with that.”

Minho smiled as he placed a small
bowl of soup on the table and took
a seat beside his kitties.

And to prove his daddy's words,
the small boy immediately cuddled
close to his father's side while
also making sure not to drop
the cat on his lap.

“When will mommy be home?”

“I'm not sure, bub.
He's meeting uncle Minnie.”

“Why?”

“I don't know.
He's mommy's friend,
sometimes we all need a friend.”

“What do you mean?”

Akemi tilted his head cutely,
not understanding what his
daddy was trying to say.

“When you see your friends in
daycare and you play together,
it makes you happy, right?”

“Yes!”

“Maybe uncle Minnie was having
a bad day and seeing mommy
could make him feel better.
That's what I meant.”

Minho chuckled as he ruffled
his son's hair.

“Oh. I hope mommy can help.”

Their son really was such
a sweet soul.

“I'm pretty sure he can.
Now eat or it'll get cold.”

The ravenette reminded his
little boy as he turned the TV off
so Akemi would focus on eating.

He didn't want the small boy
to accidentally choke nor to spill
some soup on the carpet.

The tiny kitten carefully took a
first spoonful of the soup, his eyes
visibly lighting up at the taste of
the chicken broth and a cute smile
spreading on his face as he looked
up to his daddy.

“Yummy!”

“You like it?”

“Yes! Good job, daddy!”

“Thank you, kitten.”

Minho chuckled at his son's
adorableness and pressed a soft
kiss on top of his head.

Even when he was sick,
their tiny kitten was truly
just too cute.
