Chapter 19

,,Are you all okay though?'' Yuuki asked me all worried when I told him we got in a car accident when he messaged us that he arrived.

,,Yes, Kotoko is even home now, although she had to go on early maternity leave because of it. She is doing great, eating the cookies Kotomi made and is in best health. We even found out that it will be a little boy,'' I told him.

,,Oh, Mom's going to cry even more,'' he laughed, funny how we all thought the same.

Kotoko's POV

I woke up in a bright room, and with a big headache, I remembered what happened.

Once again I shot up, worrying over Kotomi and Irie-kun, but once again he was by my side and helped me to calm down.

We talked for a bit, mostly so that I wouldn't have a panic attack and then, with the news of me carrying a boy, I fell asleep.

The next morning I was allowed to go out again, this time in a wheelchair as I had to rest a lot and wasn't even allowed to walk for a day.

Although, Mother thought the worst when she saw me.

,,I wonder who's hormonal by now,'' Irie-kun whispered while he helped me to get seated on the couch.

,,Mom! We made some cookies for you!'' Kotomi smiled brightly, giving me cute pink cookies. I was just happy that she was smiling, my cute little girl.

,,Kotoko, we will have more time together, now that you're early on maternity leave!'' Mother smiled, having her tea next to me.

And even though she was happy, I was a bit sad over the fact that I had to leave my patients back.

But before I could even feel sorry for my friends in the hospital, the devil I was thinking about was already ringing at our door and Moto-chan, Marina, Funantsu, and Tomo-chan entered our living room.

,,Your life never ends being exciting, huh?'' Motoki asked me, hugging me strongly before he whispered in my ear ,,I am so happy that you're well!''

Funantsu and Irie-kun were talking about something and my friends sat down with us.

,,Let me bring you tea, okay?'' Mother asked our guests and since I couldn't help her, our big Mi-chan decided to help her Grandma and served our guests some good cookies.

,,I almost collapsed when I entered the room to take your vitals,'' Motoko said, acting dramatic.

,,Even Keita was all worried,'' Marina crossed her legs before her eyes wandered to her boyfriend who was still keeping Irie busy.

,,We are just happy that you're alright,'' Tomo-chan said and smiled at me.

We chit-chatted for a bit more before even more people came over, everyone with a basket of fresh fruits or flowers.

Jinko and Satomi were the next ones to come, bringing their children as well, which was the perfect opportunity for Kotomi to play with her friends in her room.

The living room was slowly getting filled up with co-workers and friends and I think even for Mother this was a good thing as she laughed a bit more.

The door rang for a third time, this time however with Matsumoto and Sudo-sempai, both stunned by the whole people in our living room.

,,Congratulations on your pregnancy!'' Motoki said happily, making her all flustered, what a sight.

We were now all sitting together, talking in all directions and laughing, like in old times, forgetting the pains and worries for a bit.

And it got pretty late, so late that we had to order takeout since none would have had time to cook.

And then, we had a beautiful reunion at dinner.

We women shared our pregnancies so that Matsumoto could learn from us and when we finished eating, Christ and Kin-chan came over too, and even though they wanted to stay only for a few minutes, their children ended up playing with Mi-chan and the other children and they stayed longer, eating the cake they brought with us.

,,So now, I have to go to work soon,'' Funantsu was the first one to get up ,,I need to take over the surgery for someone,'' he said, looking at Irie-kun.

Did he intend to stay at home tomorrow too?

Upon hearing his words, Marina got up too, ready to go. With her our other guests got up, ready to go.

Those who had to gather their kids first took a bit longer than planned.

,,Mom, Mi-chan and I plan on marrying next time, can we come soon?'' Jinko's son asked her, making her look at me.

Our wish was to get our children together, we always wanted to be a family.

Irie-kun however wasn't that excited like we were...

,,Come on, they're just children,'' I smiled, loving his jealousy, because when he asked Mi-chan whe she loved more, she said that she liked both a lot.

With Yoshida-kun it was only ,,Dad''.

,,They are still too little to think of these things,'' he said before he turned around, switching off his light.

,,Are you going to stay home tomorrow?'' I asked him, turning towards his side.

He stayed silent for a second before he turned around ,,I need to keep an eye on the both of you. As soon as I get the feeling that you can handle it, I will feel better while working,'' he said, with that he made me pout, and at the same time I was feeling just thankful, that he was so worried about us...
