She looked around, her body feeling hot.
What is that?
ZAP!
There it is again!
CRACK!
She looked around, nothing in sight but a strange glow. She realised, it was her. She looked down, she was also floating, charging towards the robot. What the hell is happening?
Before she could even think there was-
SLAM!
the robot came crashing down backwards. Before Akari couldnt even think what was happening she felt her body burn with immense heat, she shrieked in pain and she came falling down, she almost hit the ground before Riu came running towards her, catching her in time. "Akari-? What was that- Hey are you okay?! Aka-"
Her voice faded. And Akari was sent closing her eyes, her body still in pain, but then she heard a whole commotion around her, she didn't know who or what, but someone was lifting her up and carrying her toward the entrance, she felt, safe. And with that, her world turned dark.

She woke up in a bed, a hospital bed? No, more like a school nurse's bed. She looked around, and that is exactly where she was. She sat up and groaned, rubbing her head then jumping in shock.
She looked at her arms, they had, what were those? Scars? She was lost in thought before a small lady came in the room, smiling as she noticed Akari.
"Hello dear, how are you feeling?"
The lady said in a sweet voice
All Akari could muster up was
"What happened?"
"I heard about your quirk situation from your friend, the dark haired boy." Kenji. She was glad he was okay. "It seems your quirk has finally developed my dear, you should be proud." She smiled at Akari, and she was proud. Though, she didn't expect it to hurt so much.
"You might be wondering why your covered in scars and burns, that's because your power burned you my dear, I'm sorry but I can't heal those." The lady said. "Its- okay." Akari manged to get out.
"Would you like to stay here or leave?" The little lady asked. "I think- im good to go." Akari said, standing up while wincing in pain. She was sweating like crazy, she was so hot and warm.
"Okay my dear, Let's go get your friends." The lady said, leading Akari by her wrist outside to a hallway where Riu, Kiu, and Kenji were waiting in.
"Oh Akari! Your okay!" Riu exclaimed as she noticed her. Akari smiled, "Yeah im-" before Akari could finish, Kenji managed to run up to her and give her a hug, which slightly made her wince in pain and heat, but it was the nice comfortable kind of heat.
"Hello to you to, Kenji." Akari joked as she patted his back. Kenji only hugged harder and tighter, "how are you feeling?" Kiu asked. "I'm good, thanks, and thanks for helping me back there." She said to the two who both smiled and said in unison 'it was no problem.'
Soon enough they all chatted, Kenji still slightly hugging Akari. Riu and Kiu left as there mom was worried about them. Akari realised her parents might be worried too before she grabbed her phone, and she had 5 missed phone calls.
"Alright Kenji- ready to go?" She asked, then he nodded and let go, looking into her eyes. "Your an idiot." He mumbled, before she laughed. "Your scars look cool though." He added with a smile, and she realised they were still actually there. She pulled out her phone and tapped on the camera app to flip on herself, she was shocked as her fingers traced and X scar over her face. So much for perfect skin. She mumbled.
As the minutes, hours? passed, Akari and Kenji walked home together, just like normal. Pure silence. As they reached Akaris house, they gave eachother a hug and made plans to meet up at there training spot tomorrow. She nodded and waved him bye before walking in her house, as she did, her parents came rushing to her.
"We got phone calls!" Her mom exclaimed, having her hands on Akaris shoulders. "And emails!" Her dad added. "Oh sweet baby, look at you." Her mom said as she traced her finger over Akaris visible scars. "I'm fine, it doesn't hurt anymore." She added to ease her parents worries, which helped a bit.
Before long, Akari was in her bed looking up at the ceiling.
She got her quirk, but hurt herself because of it. Would that be taken out of her points? Did she even make enough points? She sighed. She rolled around on her bed for awhile before looking at the time. 10 pm.
She slowly closed her eyes and sighed as she drifted to sleep.

"So, you got burned or whatever because the power in your body?" Kenji confusingly said, Akari nodded in response. "That's what Recovery Girl told me." She added, looking up at the clouds.
"Weird." He muttered. "Very weird." She muttered aswell.
She looked at him and laughed, he soon followed pursuit. Now this was the Kenji she knew and loved. Not some mean old grouch bag.
"So, do you even know how to use it?"
He asked. "Kenji, I don't even know what happened. I just- heard like cracking zapping sounds and was floating in the air and then sooner or later the robot was down and I was on the floor in pain." She sighed.
He winced as he remembered what he saw from the shelter Akari placed him in. His best friend, floating, punching, then falling to the ground. The absolute panic he had experienced in those moments made him scared. He remembered the pain he felt from him over heating, dragging him down like chains, telling him to stop as he ran towards a almost unconscious Akari.
"Hey, I'm okay though." She said, noticing the pain in her friends eyes.
He nodded, but still had his doubts.
He started to lay next down to her and cloud gaze along.
"Should we train or something?" Akari asked, looking at Kenji.
He was cautious at first, but nodded in agreement. Akari pulled him up and clasped her hands together.
"Now, the question is, how I activate it." She mumbled, thinking. my quirk activated in a state of panic, stress even. So maybe if she put her in one again..
"Kenji?"
"Yeah Akari?"
"Punch me."
"WHAT?"
She explained what she was thinking with a laugh, and Kenji was slightly nodding in understandment. And before she could know it, Kenji was about to punch her. He used full force but as soon as he realised she wouldn't do anything, he slowed down the speed and managed to right hook her cheek with a gentle tap.
She looked at his hand and then his face and laughed uncontrollably. He followed pursuit.
Soon enough they managed to do a few more times till something happend, Kenji could swear he saw Akaris scars glow blue, and Akari felt the heat like before rise up, which slightly made Kenji worry.
A few other times they did it again and again, laughing in the process of it all. Akari was excited for this year.
Really excited. Hopefully she and Kenji got into UA.
