season 2, episode 3 - love sick (pt.1)!
THE NEXT DAY, MIA WAS IN THE LIVING ROOM AS she scrolled through her phone. The doorbell suddenly rang, causing her to stare in confusion. Who could be visiting at this hour? The girl stood up from the couch, walking over to the door. "Who is it?"
"It's me, Mia." a bit of a too familiar voice answered, causing the girl to open the door. "Jere? Bells? What are you guys doing here? Did you find Conrad?"
Belly shook her head, "Not yet. But we're almost by the house and we were wondering if you wanted to come with us?" Mia pressed her lips in a thin line, staring at the duo. Ever since what happened last summer, Mia didn't really want to be around Jeremiah. But it couldn't hurt to tag along, right? Plus, she'd probably just talk to Belly the whole ride there and hopefully see Conrad. "Sure. Let me just let my parents know... and change out of my pajamas."
Meanwhile, Cam was at the boardwalk with Brody. The two were currently on their lunch break, eating while conversing with each other. "So how are things going with you and Molly?"
"It's going good. Honestly, she's an amazing person and I couldn't ask for anyone else."
"Yeah, sure she is. You guys need to dial it down with the whole lovey dovey stuff. It makes me want to puke."
"Oh, please. You're just jealous! Come on, dude. I mean, have you ever had a crush before? I'm surprised you haven't dated anyone yet." Cam rolled his eyes, throwing out the sandwich wrapper. "I might have a crush on someone."
"Really? When did it start?" Brody asked, curious to know. "It all started the day of the school dance..."
IT WAS A FEW WEEKS BEFORE SCHOOL WAS over as music blared through the speakers. Kiara was at home, given that she had gone to prom and graduated. Kids were entering the gym as Molly, Brody, Cam, and some of their friends were sitting at a table. The curly haired boy came to the dance without a date, feeling awkward. The couples around him were all seemingly in love, making him feel a bit jealous. "I'm gonna get some punch."
"Okay, dude." Brody stated as Cam walked away from them. He grabbed a cup and poured some fruit punch. "Could I have a cup, please?" Cam reached for a cup, turning around. "Yeah, here you go." He noticed it was Mia and boy was she pretty. She had on a short red dress with straps and black Mary Janes with her hair styled in a slicked back high ponytail. "Uh... Rodriguez? Are you okay?"
Cam cleared his throat, realizing he had been staring for too long. "Y - yeah, Knight. I'm fine." His cheeks were a slight pink as he looked away, drinking the punch. Mia poured herself some, drinking some. "Well, this was nice but I'm gonna go find Olivia and Alan. But you look nice, Rodriguez." she stated as she walked away from him. Cam could've sworn he felt butterflies in his stomach, deciding to ignore it. For the rest of the night, he watched as Molly and Brody danced together, rolling his eyes. Alan noticed the boy, waving to him. "Hey, Cam. Do you want to dance with me, Liv, and Mia? You look bored."
"I am not bored... okay, maybe a little. I'll join you guys." Cam followed Alan as he saw Mia and Olivia dancing together. "What took you so long, dude? Hey, Cam." Olivia stated. "Hi." The four teens danced to the music, having a good time. The music eventually slowed down, playing "Snooze" by SZA. People got into pairs as they slow danced. Alan and Olivia were dancing with each other, leaving Cam and Mia alone.
Cam extended his hand out, though it was a bit sweaty. "Would you like to dance with me, Knight?" Mia gave him a teasing smile, looking at him. "No."
"Knight!" Mia laughed, smiling at him. Cam noticed her nose scrunching up when she laughed and it was the cutest thing ever. "I'm just kidding, Rodriguez. I'll dance with you." She took his hand as the two walked on the dance floor, slow dancing. "But are you having fun?"
"Yeah, I am. I'm happy that I didn't have to spend the whole night third wheeling Molly and Brody."
"They're that bad?"
"Yeah, it's insufferable."
"Well, when you find that special someone, that's how people act."
"Insufferable?"
"Kind of... but they understand and care for each other no matter what." Cam spun her around as he thought about what she had just said. Despite being rivals, the two still understood each other. "Even if they argue or disagree?"
"I think so. When two people are that right for each other, they can work through anything."
"You think so?"
"Yeah, I do. I mean, we don't get along very well but we still help each other."
"Yeah... I guess we do."

Before anyone says anything, ntm on Skye bc their not a bad character (AT ALL) I have three more episodes of Season 2 to watch and I love their character (they deserve better from the fandom bc why are people so mean??)
After years of waiting, we finally got some more Mia and Cam content 🤗 I mean it's a flashback but it's still something
Aunt Julia is the problem Skye deserves a better parent
