Luffy and Nami looked at each other in surprise. Luffy, who said he had bad luck because he always met her, and Nami, who did not know how to act in such a situation. What would she tell him? Yesterday, he spoke to her sister whom he did not know. Surely he would not believe her. She's chasing him.
Luffy sighed and sat in his office chair thinking
Luffy: Well, since I promised Nojiko I will not break my promise, come here, miss, so we can see what you can do.
Nami slowly walked towards him and sat in the chair in front of him, but she was sad because of his words. Did he really forget what she could have done?
Luffy: What is your name, lady, and what can you do?
Nami ignored his tone of voice and spoke in an uninterested tone.
Nami: My name is Nami and I moved to Japan recently. I can work in accounting in your company, Sir Luffy.
Luffy: But I already have good accountants, what will set you apart from them?
Nami: Firstly, my honesty, secondly, I can do the difficult calculations with all of them in a short time.
Luffy: How can I be sure that you are honest and can do what you say?
Nami sighed angrily. Was Luffy just getting on her nerves? If it weren't for their current situation, she would have hit him on the head like in the past. She wished everything would go back to how it was if it weren't for the intervention of those damned men.
Nami: You can put me to any test you want.
Luffy: Well, there's one last question, why do you need this job?
Nami hesitated to answer this question, perhaps it might open an old wound for both of them now.
Nami: Because I want money for my family.
Luffy: (sighs) Of course, the money. Well, you have passed the interview. You can leave now and start working tomorrow. My secretary will send you the details of everything.
Nami smiled widely at Luffy when she heard his words, will he forgive her or what? It seems like she should take things slowly.
Luffy, who saw her smile, forcibly stopped himself from smiling, not wanting her to notice that his heart seemed to be leaning toward her, my stupid heart that always gets me into trouble.
The door opened and Bonny walked in with some coffee for the two.
Bonny: Sorry I'm late, Mr. Luffy.
Luffy: It's okay, Bonny, the interview is basically over.
Bonny placed the coffee on the desk and stood next to Luffy for a while, placing her hand on his shoulder. Luffy did not show any reaction.
Nami, who saw this, forcibly prevented herself from getting up and taking this girl's hand away from her man, who was still stupid as he was.
The door opened violently and Luna entered, running to her father and jumping into his arms.
Luna: Daddy.
Luffy was surprised by this and carried his daughter in his hands while smiling at the child's actions. He looked at Nami from the corner of his eyes and saw a hint of sadness in her.
Luffy: Why did you come here, my princess? I ordered the driver to take you to Sabo's house
Luna: Shishi, I convinced him to bring me here using my special technique, poor puppy eyes.
