After driving passed civilization and getting stuck into a non stop empty road, ...not gonna lie I think we only came passed 3 cars other than that the road was empty and quiet well besides the trees on each side and animals and birds making rustling sound and birds chipping from now and then if you were to pay attention.

Hours passed with me listening to music of Jade's ipod , I couldn't handle sitting in a car for so long without a distraction,I would literally slowly go mental so he felt sorry for me after my few dramatic proclaims of course which he just rolled his eyes at...anyway after those hours we came across a highway , there was cars everywhere and the sound of beeps and engines triggered something in me.
The sounds were coming from all directions and I didn't like them, they hurt my ears.
I groan clutching my ears trying to block my hearing.

"Amber!" Jade called touching my shoulder , his voice sounded as if I was under water.

"You okay? Breathe..." I heard and tried to calm down.

"What's happening to me?" I say .

"It hurts."

"Just calm down." He said but he wasn't helping.
I'm not in a panic attack mode, I'm in pain.

"What's wrong with her?"I heard Kevin.

"I don't know. " Jade answers, he didn't exactly have an idea on how to help me, I don't blame him...I mean  I didn't even know how to help myself.

I felt the car turn and go to a halt.
"Bring her out , for fresh air."Kevin says and Jade immediately helps me out.
The cold air hit my face and I take deep breaths but kept my hands on my ears.

"What- Are you okay?" Jade asks.

"I don't know" I just need something to block my ears, hopefully that'll soften the pain, it's almost as if my ears are sensitive.

"What's wrong with, is she sick or something,  do I have to call your parents?" Kevin .

"She's fine, she just has a condition,  she can't stay on one place for too long." Jade said smoothly both of us knowing exactly that's not the truth.

"Right so, can we get going then?" He asks Jade,  while his eyes were strained on my.

"Yeah hold on a sec."

"Amber what hurts?" My brother asks, I hope I'm not a burden he's stuck with.

"The cars,noise hurts-ears." I said still struggling.

"Right okay." He says quickly grabbing the headphones and putting them over my ears.

"Better?" He asks and I take a minute to feel if they still hurt then nod as the pain decreased.

After few more hours of  driving and of passing houses and buildings and other cars nonstop, he stopped at this house close to the woods and got out of the girl and we followed.

"This is it?" Jade asked.

"This is it kids, was told to drop you here and there's supposed to be a man in there that'll take care of you for the time being." He finished. Jade took the only bag we owned that was brought and we followed Kevin out the car.

He started walking to the yard and in, Jade followed but I felt the urge to snif the air for some reason,  couldn't be the weirdest I have ever been so...
The air smelled funny, like it held something to it-

"Amber , come on." Jade called snapping me out of my - whatever that was that I was doing...

I ran to them  and before we could get closer to the door, it opened, as if we were being expected.
A man stepped out, he looked like he was in his late 30s but of course something told me he was older.

"HI, welcome, been expecting you guys." He said immediately his eyes met mine and I found myself battling him with the stare, I didn't wanna look away and I wasn't gonna..-
"Hope we didn't keep you waiting that long." Kevin said making the man look away from me and to Kevin.

"Nonsense please come in." He said allowing us in and leading us to the lounge.

"Please, sit." He said.

"Mathew!" He called.

"Yeah?" A young voice followed and then foot steps.
I sniffed the air one more time and he looked at me.

"Your senses have grown sharp cub, I'm impressed. " He said catching my attention fast.

"What are you talking about?" I asked and Jade looked at him, not hiding his curiosity.
Just then a dark hair boy entered the room, he didn't look very old, infect he looked like Jade's age, but I wasn't that interested about his age, there was something about him that made my senses uneasy.
He looked eyes with me then my brother.

"Show them their rooms so they can get comfortable. " the man infront of us said to ...Mathew was it?
Anyway the boy nodded and then at my brother as a signal to follow him and I followed Jade's movements standing up following him out the lounge.
I took my time looking around,  it wasn't a mansion but it was big gudda give it that.
Clearing my throat,  I caught up to Jade and walked pass him so I could get closer to Mathew...whatever.

"What are you Mat?" I asked out of the blue, I knew he was something but I didn't know what.

"Erm a human." He said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"You don't smell like one." I simply said.

"Mm how old are you again?" He said instead of telling me the truth.

"I asked first." I said serious.

"And I answered it."He simply said and I just looked at him.

"Here are the rooms." He said nodding to the two doors that stood opposite each other.

"So which one do I enter?" I asked then just watched Jade enter one without saying anything.

"What's his deal?" He asked me and I just looked at him sighing and then entered my new room and shut the.door only to open it in a few seconds.

"Hehe, thanks for the guidance,  I mean one of us has to have manners. " I smiled and he just looked at me blankly before walking away and I closed the door again and looked around the room.
It was a perfect size, not too big and not too small, just right.
I smiled at it then walked to the closet and the toilet giving myself a small tour.

"Well this is it, I guess..." I said jumping on my bed and just laid there letting everything sink in and my bubbly mood popped like an actual bubble.

I killed people and this is all my fault,  Everything happening is my fault.

Tears rolled from the corner of my eyes taking its time to reach my ears as I continued to let myself drown into the reality I was living in.
I should have never left that house, I should've just crawled up into my sheets  and watched Netflix.

After fighting my monsters, my eyes closed having this heaviness.
I hadn't realized how much time had gone but even though I was asleep, my senses were aware of my surroundings,  they were too aware, it scared me.
I heard light footsteps , outside my door and then the door squealed then the same footsteps walked in then stopped then i sensed a warm presence then  slowly a blanket covered me.
After leaving,  I slightly smiled as I caught  Jade's scent.
