Light Heals

Another night in vain,
I cough up blood once again.
No breath, no oxygen,
I lay with a prison for a brain.
Then the moon comes for aid
Without him, it'd be hard to live.
I tell him about the stories I've stored,
He listens patiently.
Then we both look up at the sky
Waiting for our suns to shine
And let us bathe under their light,
Enough to make us both smile.
