Charlotte and Derek were done getting the house ready. Today Meredith would come home again and they were really excited

"Go get in the car, I'll be there in a minute." Derek said and grabbed his keys, seeing Charlotte hurry outside

Together they drive to the hospital, the ride went smooth, they chatted away as they bound clearly had gotten better again

"Hey, I didn't know you were gonna be so early." Mark said as he met them in the parking lot

"Mommy can come home after today's chemo!" She smiled widely as her mom hadn't been home in quite a long time

"We'll go see her first." Derek explained to Mark

"Go, I'll come see you all in a bit." Mark smiled and watched as Charlotte dragged her dad inside

"Come on, daddy! We will go see mommy!!" Charlotte jumped up and down until they arrived at Meredith's room

"Hey monkey." Meredith was laying down on her side, smiling at her daughter

"Mommy!!" Charlotte hurried inside but careful for her mom's PEG tube

"I missed you. Are you here to finally get me home?" Meredith chuckled

"We're ready to kidnap you." Derek nodded, leaning against the doorway before he walked inside and kissed his wife's lips softly

"Sounds exciting." Meredith joked. "My feeding is still running, we should wait a little longer."

"Mark will come in a bit as well, he'll help us carry." Derek winked

"Did you ask him?" Meredith asked

"Uh.. no?" Derek frowned

"Might be Mark pushing me and you carrying our stuff." Meredith smiled, leaning her head on her pillow as she was getting tired

Charlotte laughed and climbed in bed next to her mom, checking her phone

"Hey!" Mark walked inside

"Hi Markie." Meredith muttered, half asleep

"Someone looks exhausted, has Derek been bothering you again with his lame jokes?" Mark walked over and collapsed in a chair

"My jokes lame?" Derek scoffed

"Well.." Charlotte laughed

"A little.." Meredith admitted, weakly laughing

"Maybe I shouldn't kidnap anyone then." Derek winked

"No! I wanna go home.." Meredith whined

"Let Derek carry your bags, let's go enjoy freedom." Mark scooped her up and placed her down in the wheelchair

"I can walk!" Meredith insisted

"Hospital policy.." Mark rolled his eyes and pushed her to the car, helping her inside

"Thanks Markie." Meredith smiled softly

"Addie and I will stop by later today." Mark kissed Meredith's head softly and hugged Charlotte

"Bye uncle Mark!" Charlotte waved

"Nana and poppa arrived!" Charlotte got up as she was laying on the couch with her mom

"Der, help me up." Meredith muttered, waking up as she had fallen asleep

"Okay, easy so you don't trigger your stomach." Derek said since she had chemo a few days back

"Thank you." Meredith muttered, throwing the blanket over herself, feeling ashamed of how she looked

"Hey guys, are we disturbing?" Christopher was the first to walk in

"Of course not. Hello dad." Derek hugged his father before he moved to hug his mom

"Hi sweetie." Christopher hugged Meredith, followed by Carolyn who whispered some things in Meredith's ear

"You think?" Meredith chuckled and watched as her parents in law took a seat on the couch

"I'm pretty sure." Carolyn laughed and held Meredith's hand in her own

"It's good to see you back home." Carolyn smiled

"I'm really glad to be back." Meredith admitted with an honest smile

Sorryyyy i had surgery a few days back so i dont feen like writing a full chapter.. im still very tired, pain is acting up and il stuck in bed
