As we prepared for the journey, the stranger checked on the horses to ensure they were ready to soar through the underworld's sky. Observing him closely, I noted his tall frame, raven-black hair, and eyes with a subtle silver hue. There was an aura about him that hinted at divinity; indeed, he seemed to be a god. He entered the chariot and extended his hand to me, which I accepted. His touch was cold, almost lifeless, yet his eyes were filled with life.

"Here, you are going to feel cold when we're up in the air," he remarked, offering me his cloak. Glancing at his attire—a black robe that revealed a slender, non-masculine physique—I questioned how an 'open' cloak would shield me from the cold. He smirked once again, seemingly amused by my queries and requests. However, as I put on the cloak, I felt an unexpected warmth, sensing a magical aura enveloping it.

"Courtesy of Hecate," he explained. Hecate, the goddess of magic who resides in the underworld, had apparently provided the enchanted cloak. I recalled her visits to my mother in the mortal realm, where she shared stories about the underworld. Most of my knowledge about this realm was derived from those tales.

As the chariot continued its flight, I couldn't help but be in awe at the mesmerizing sights that unfolded before me in the underworld. The mountains, unlike those in the mortal realm or Olympus, reached towering heights, their peaks obscured by swirling mists that added an air of mystery to their grandeur. The forests, with their peculiar, gnarled trees, seemed to dance in an otherworldly rhythm as we zoomed past. The foliage exuded an ethereal glow, casting enchanting shadows that played along the uneven terrain.

Ruins dotted the landscape, remnants of structures long forgotten, their broken arches and weathered stones testaments to the passage of eons. Broken stone castles, once imposing and regal, now stood as silent witnesses to the ages that had unfolded within the underworld's depths. Dilapidated houses, their skeletal frames visible through the veil of time, hinted at a history that transcended the mortal realm's understanding.

The rivers, each with its unique essence, flowed with colors unseen in the world above. The river Lethe, a tranquil stream, shimmered with a silver luminescence, its waters holding the forgetful essence that granted solace to the souls that drank from it. Phlegethon, the river of fire, blazed with an otherworldly intensity, its crimson currents casting an eerie warmth across the underworld. Acheron's dark waters whispered of mysteries yet undiscovered, while Cocytus, the river of wailing, echoed with haunting sounds that sent shivers down my spine.

Every corner of the underworld revealed a new wonder, a testament to the beauty that lay hidden beneath the surface. It was a realm where time moved differently, where shadows held secrets, and where the very fabric of existence seemed to pulse with an enigmatic energy. As we soared through this captivating underworld, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and anticipation for the discoveries that awaited me in this subterranean realm.

As we descended towards the palace, I couldn't help but marvel at the breathtaking beauty of the underworld. The vastness of the realm unfolded before me, revealing enormous mountains in the distance, forests with strange, twisted trees, broken stone castles, and the haunting remnants of ruined houses. The five rivers, each with its unique color and essence, flowed majestically, creating a mesmerizing tapestry beneath us.

The chariot continued its smooth descent, and I couldn't resist glancing over the edge to take in more of the underworld's grandeur. The landscape seemed to stretch endlessly, each element contributing to the other in a symphony of eerie yet captivating aesthetics. Despite the incredible speed at which we traveled; I felt a strange tranquility in the vastness of this realm.
