Description: In an attempt to break habits of their own, the emotions decide to give up things they normally think they need to go through the day, such as Fear's dependence on coffee and tea. It's got good intentions, definitely. But what could possibly go wrong?
Episode Inspiration: "In Palm Springs"
The morning was going about as normal as it could for five emotions who managed to make something strange happen out of the little things. The only real difference from most days was that tonight was their weekly game night, and usually they spent the time Riley was eating breakfast to figure out what they were doing, so they had the whole day to mentally prepare for it. Plus Anger and Joy needed time to settle stakes and bets and all that because they couldn't resist.
"Okay, I got a list together of everything we've already done recently," Sadness said, opening up her notebook. "So far we've done Monopoly, which Joy won again."
Joy simply gave a smug smile. It was true; no one could ever beat her in that game, and multiple times had her fellow emotions tried.
Fear looked up from stirring his coffee. "We've already done Clue too."
It was the first time Anger had ever won. Even he'd been surprised.
"At this rate, we've already done all the things," Disgust pointed out. "You know we're getting into a repeat round of everything."
"Okay, then I guess it's based off preference this time," Joy shrugged, pulling a handful of Hershey's Kisses from her pocket and unwrapping one.
For the first time, Disgust didn't hold back her comments. "It's amazing you stay the same weight after all this time."
Joy looked up. "What do you mean?"
Disgust knew the dam had broken by this point. "I mean, the fact that you're basically addicted to sweets."
"I am not ad--" but Joy looked down and slowly slid the chocolates back in her pocket.
"Please, you act like you'll die if you don't get a daily dose of added sugar," Anger cackled.
"Well!" Joy turned to him, offended.
"Don't worry, Joy, it's not like you're the only one with habits that are getting kinda old," Disgust shrugged.
"Oh great, who's next?" Anger chuckled. "Just as long as it's not me."
Disgust turned to Fear. "How many cups of coffee have you already had today?"
"It's only my second," Fear insisted.
"Ooh, a new record."
"What the--"
"And of course, Sadness acts like she needs to get through a novel a day."
Sadness looked up. "What?"
"Ooh, this is fun!" Anger grinned.
But Disgust was reeling on him. "You're not innocent. You can't go five minutes without giving Fear some sort of wedgie."
"That's definitely true," Fear agreed.
"Just because it helps relieve stress..." Anger rolled his eyes. "At least I'm not scarfing my face with crap."
"Hey!" Joy protested. "It's not crap! It's the good stuff!"
"And I actually like reading..." Sadness said, but somehow it didn't have the same vibe as the other four's comments to each other.
"Welp, it finally happened," Fear shrugged, leaning back in his seat.
"What do you mean?" Disgust asked.
