Summary - Reece can't stop thinking about Marjorie but she doesn't seem to like him back. Set just after Reece first starts at the nursery.

As Reece watched Marjorie fling her hands around while passionately defending her staff, he knew he had to have her. She was feisty, loving, funny, caring and absolutely gorgeous. He loved her accent and the way her hair bounced around as she talked. He loved the little speckles of silver he saw in her eyes. He also absolutely adored the way that her friendship with his sister had helped Autumn soften and grow as a person.

The only thing was, she didn't want to be his.

After the meeting he tried to talk to her but she snapped at him for taking one of her staff members (again). Reece felt awful, his relaxed attitude to hiring some much needed replacement staff was clearly causing Marjorie a great deal of stress. That afternoon he covered in the rooms meaning Charlotte could return to help at Marjorie's. He just hoped his gesture had lightened the load for her.

Whenever he had the chance, he would just watch her. He knew if anyone noticed, his actions would be perceived as creepy but he just couldn't help it. She was so beautiful. Time and time again he would imagine holding her in his arms, protecting her, making her feel safe. He knew more than anyone that a smile can hide a thousand secrets and something told him that Marjories heart had suffered a great deal. He imagined the shitty boyfriends she'd had before, cheating on her, making her cry. Any man who'd had Marjorie and let her go was a complete and utter moron.

Whenever Reece felt stressed, he would look up at the sky. Clouds made him feel calm and stars made him feel alive. One evening as he gazed at the starry sky, he thought of Marjorie's eyes. How could she not be made for him? Her eyes were like galaxies and he'd never seen anything like them before. During his lifetime, Reece had been lucky enough to see some absolutely stunning skies, but none had made him catch his breath the way her eyes did.

Everyone thought he was a monster - like Father like Son. He'd only asked for the managers role to try and get closer to Autumn - so far he'd been unsuccessful, but he intended to keep trying. For over 20 years he'd been in an on again off again relationship with a woman who caused him nothing but stress. The idea of being with a person who brought him peace was completely alien to Reece, but it was all he desired.

He had to have her. He had to help her see that they were made for each other. He had to be the only those starry eyes desired.

After all, all Reece had ever really wanted was to live amongst the stars.
