Chapter 2 The Remembering (Abigail's POV)

I wake up in a hospital bed... WAIT WHAT?! OH MY GOD I'M ALIVE!!!?? I try to sit up but feel a sharp pain in my head "ow!" I say flinching from the pain as I sit up. When I look around the room I see a girl from my grade she um... kinda weird I think her name is Uh EMMA! "why is she here?" I questioned. she has short brown and blue hair looks like she cut and dyed it herself. I try to get her attention by calling for her "uh hey Emma right?" she jumps up "oh your awake! you were so beat up are you ok? what even happened?!" she says surprised.

Thats when i remembered. It all started a few months ago I didn't like this girl Sarah so I decided to pull a prank on her by spreading a rumer about her. It was a small harmless rumer but other people who didn't like her added to it and it became worse and worse. she was bullied and basically tourchered. So I asked her to meet up with me before school so I could apologize and try to help her fix what they were saying and tell everyone it was a lie. She agreed, but it seemed she had other plans.

When I got to the place we agreed on she was already there. she kinda looked suspicious but I assumed it was because she hated me and wanted to get this over with to get her life back. "Hi, have you been waiting long?" I questioned. "No, not to long" she said in a monotone voice, but her tone felt empty and cold. "I know this might be weird since we already chose this spot, but I wanted to move elsewhere I thought it might be more." she passed "secluded" she said it in the same cold tone she looked empty and blank. Like a empty, tired shell of who she once was. "Uh. sure i guess no shame in a little change I guess" I said cheerfully trying to change the mood. "where did you have in mind" I said with a slight smile feeling her cold dead gaze on me. I could tell she was not in the mood for cheerfulness. "I was thinking the opening on the north side of the forest" she said. "The Murder Cliff?" I asked slightly shocked. "I guess" she paused again "I just like it there its peaceful" she said with a blank face. I found it suspicious and on normal circumstances I wouldn't have gone with her but, I went with her because I felt guilty, I basically ruined her life for a prank. After a bit of walking we arrived at the well known cliff there's a river running at the very bottom the fall had to have been at least 60ft. When we arrived she told me to continue the apology, and ask me how I was going to make it better. so I went on I apologized and I strategized I told her all the plans I came up with in my head and how I could make it better or at least try to. I went on and on but when I finally finished I realized she was really close. Too close. I went to ask what she was doing but before I could say anything she pushed me off the cliff.

I screamed as I fell through the air, I saw my life flash before my eyes, I knew it was over, there is no getting out of this. Just as I felt myself getting close to the bottom but before I hit it I was surrounded by a black fog and it sucked me into another... place? demotion I dont really remember it is all so fuzzy. All I remember was hitting the ground it wasn't a soft landing, it definitely cushioned the fall but the impact was enough to make my head feel fuzzy I could feel me losing consciousness, I knew I had to find my way out of here before I passed out, as I stumbled around I saw dark hills and red looking fog making it harder to see and it was harder to breathe like when you stay under a blanket for to long. Anyways I felt the consciousness fading when I saw a similar black fog, so I stumbled as fast as I could. Just as I made it over to the black fog I was about to fall through when I got hit back a white light it crashed into me and the last thing I remember is falling. Then I woke up here.

Abigail? Abigail?! ABIGAIL!! I snapped back and see Emma again. "Hey are you good?" She asks. "OH MY GOD!!! Wheres Sarah?" I yell in desperation. I need to know I think to myself. I try to stand but my body pulls me back down and I wince in pain. "You can't stand right now you'll hurt yourself!!" Emma yells as she holds me down so I don't try to get up again. "You have your freaky freak gang right?" I spit out I know it was mean but I was to panicked to think right. "You mean my friends?" She asks in confusion. "Yes them I want you to check the clearing on the north side of the forest!!" I spit out in desperation I need to know what happened to Sarah! Is she still there? How long have I been out? Why would she do something that extreme!? "What?! The murder cliff?!" She says in a shocked tone. "T-that where it happened I need you to check please I have no time to explain just please check!!" I must have sounded too desperate because she ran out of the room with a shocked look on her face like she thought I was crazy.

After a few minutes I realized my throat was dry and I was feeling dizzy again I want to call a nurse but it kinda hurts to move so I just sit there staring at those disposable cups on the other side of the room. All I could think about was getting that water I felt so thirsty but then something really weird happened... The cup started to float... LIKE AT ME?! I panicked and dropped the cup... OH MY GOD DID I JUST DO THAT?!
