"You asked where Kyle was, so I might as well tell you where he is," Ella said, gaining more of my attention.

"No, you don't have to," I replied, trying not to seem too obsessive. "Forget about it, let's just sit here and finish our lunch."

Ella shrugged. "Okay, but it's not like telling you where he sits can end the world. Anyway, he stays in class - it's where he does all his...stuff.he never seats in the cafeteria."

I stood up, trying to head to class, but Ella's voice stopped me. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, where are you going? Lunch hasn't ended yet, and you don't want to be like these other guys," she said, sounding a little too desperate.

"I'm going to find Kyle," I replied hastily, but then I didn't want to leave Ella alone. I didn't want to be like the shitty people she talked about, so I sat back down.

"I thought you were leaving for a boy you said you don't have a crush on," Ella said, raising an eyebrow, "but anyway, lunch is almost over, so let's go together." She stood up, and I followed suit, taking our trays back to the cafeteria.

At that moment, I regretted why I wanted to see Kyle. He made me feel things I'd never felt before, and I needed a distraction. "Ella, I want to go to the restroom first," I said, trying to avoid meeting Kyle before the bell rang. I didn't want to be alone in class with him.

"Okay, I'll wait for you," Ella replied, making me even more nervous. I didn't want to keep her waiting, but I didn't want to meet Kyle alone either, and I didn't want to tell her that.

I went to the bathroom and just stood there, trying to kill time until the bell rang. But Ella kept knocking on the door. "Shawn, come on out! The bell is about to ring; we don't have time!"

I felt pressured, but just before I exited the bathroom door, the class bell rang, and I felt relieved.

"What took you so long?" Ella asked, looking frazzled. "You made me stand there for like twenty minutes. Were you taking a shit or something? And don't tell me, I don't want to know. Let's just go to class."

"I'm really sorry, Ella," I said, feeling bad for her. "I just felt a little under weather."

"Don't worry about it," she replied, walking a little ahead of me. "We could've gone to the nurse not the restroom, but let's just forget about it. It's your first day, and I don't want to give you a bad impression. So, let's just head to class."

We entered the classroom, and my eyes met Kyle's - the boy who had been making my head spin all day. I remembered what Ella had just told me, and I didn't want to dive into him too deep. But, hearing his voice, I forgot everything Ella had said. All I knew was that Kyle took me to places I'd never been before.

"Hi, Shawn," he said, his voice low and smooth.

"Ha, hi Kyle," I replied, feeling like I had a limit on my words.

"Are you okay?" he asked, looking concerned.

"Yeah, I'm fine," I said, trying to brush it off.

"You look a little down. If you're feeling bad, I'll suggest you go to the nurse," he said, his eyes piercing through me.

"No, I'm fine. It's just... forget about it," I said, feeling my face flush. It wasn't like I could tell Kyle that he was the reason for my social crisis, so I just sat down quietly, trying to avoid his gaze.

Kyle never said anything after that, and it was already time to go home. I was concerned that I might have annoyed him or said something wrong.

"Kyle, is there something that I said or did that might have annoyed you?" I asked in a calming voice, not wanting to annoy him more.

"Nothing, you did nothing," he said abruptly, standing up without elaborating. He left me hanging, and I stood up to follow him.

"Kyle, wait!" I called out, but he didn't stop. He just kept walking, leaving me behind with more questions than answers.

I followed him anyway, trying to make sense of his sudden silence. What had I done to upset him? And why wouldn't he tell me? The uncertainty lingered, like a cloud over my head, as I trailed behind him in silence.

I followed Kyle in silence, my bike wheels spinning furiously as I struggled to keep up with his breakneck pace. He knew I was behind him, but he didn't slow down, didn't even glance back. We rode like this for what felt like an eternity, the wind whipping through my hair.

"Shawn, wait up!" Ella called out from behind me, but I acted like I didn't hear her. All my attention was on Kyle. I knew she would be mad tomorrow, but I was going to deal with her later.

We finally reached an open daisy field, and Kyle got off his bike. I followed suit, my legs aching from the exertion. As we sat down in the soft grass, I couldn't help but wonder why Kyle had brought me here. The silence between us was palpable, heavy with unspoken words.

After a few minutes of quiet contemplation, Kyle spoke up. "Do you love daisies?" he asked, his voice low and husky. I was taken aback by the question. Couldn't he have asked me something more meaningful, like why I had followed him all the way here? But I hesitated, unsure of how to respond.

"Yes, I do love daisies," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper.

For the next few minutes, we sat in silence, watching the sun dip below the horizon. The sky was painted with hues of orange and pink, a breathtaking sight that seemed to match the turmoil in my mind. Then, without warning, Kyle asked a question that made my head spin.

"What do you think of me?" he asked, his eyes piercing through mine like a sharp gaze.

I hesitated, unsure of how to respond. "I don't know," I admitted, not wanting to sound weird or reveal too much.

Kyle stood up, his movements fluid and graceful, and sat on his bike. "Shawn," he called out to me before leaving.

"Yes, Kyle?" I replied, my heart racing with anticipation.

"You should know what you want," he said in a mysterious voice that made my heart skip a beat.

With that, he rode off into the fading light, leaving me alone with my thoughts. I went home that day with a mind full of questions and a heart full of wonder. All I could think about was Kyle and his enigmatic question, and how he made me feel like a cloud about to rain - heavy with emotion, ready to burst at any moment.
