PAST DAY
FINNEY...

. ₊˚ ☎︎₊˚✧ ゚.

Most of the kids gather up to watch the baseball game. Right now it's cloudy and dull. People either cheering or screaming instructions at the players. Baseball games were never quiet.
     "Come on Finney. Come on,"
Gwen is whispering as she claps her hand watching her brother stand on the mount. He gets himself ready to throw the ball.
     Strike one.
Two more strikes and Bruce Yamada would be out. He's a popular kid.
     Strike two.
Claps erupted and small praises.
     Bruce was stressing.
Finney stares from the mount as Bruce was swinging his bat in small circles to get him ready to fully swing on this last ball. He takes a quick look at this one girl, Donna. Maybe as a good luck charm?
Finney throws then ball but unfortunately for him, Bruce hit it. Fortunate for Bruce though.
The ball went over the fence, so it was a guaranteed home run for the opposing team.
     "Bruce! Bruce! Bruce!"

After the game, I came to shoot up a rocket into the sky. I've been testing it for a couple days now, so hopefully it will go up. Okay on a count of three...

whooooosshh

There goes the rocket. I smile looking up at the small rocket. As the rocket goes up leaving a trail of smoke, there was some claps. I look to see who it was.
"Nice one, Finney," Stacy smiles at me.
Stacy Miller is one of my best friends in this small town. She's the only one who actually doesn't piss off my dad— besides Summer. That's cause she doesn't talk at all.
"Hi, Stace. What are you doing here," I ask her. She normally would be at the swimming pool right now.
"Walking... and I saw you. Plus, with all these... kidnaps.. going on we can't have anyone walk by themselves," she shivers at the thought.
Ever since the captures of the school kids, she's been on edge. I felt bad, but I also don't really know what to say besides: "Don't worry."
After the rocket parachuted down, she picked it up.
"Come on, don't want Gwen to worry, right?"
She laughs.
"Yeah, totally."
