Everyone Was at game 2, this time they were against punchmade, a team who had one player talking mega shit the week leading up to the tournament

nico and nikki stood near the bench and the table that held the score, they were planning how to get romelo and mallory together

"yeah, i mean, they already kissed so -" nikki gasped, she didnt know that yet. nico made an 'oops' face . "did mal not tell you ?" nico asked

nikki shook her head, "no, what ?! i cant believe she didnt tell me !" she exclaimed, her jaw dropped. she waved zeddy over, "did you know melo and mal kissed ?!"

zeddy furrowed his brows, shaking his head. "nah, but thats good ! i thought they was already dating but um, yeah" zeddy gave a thumbs up

"i mean, melo told me and um that got me broken up with so... maybe its good you guys didnt know" nico joked, though no one laughed. "that was a joke guys" she told them

they both brushed over that though, "did nelson ever actually break up with you ?" nikki asked, a suspicious look in her eyes

nico shrugged, "not technically, he just kinda left me stranded at your house and hasnt spoken to me since so... i'd say yeah"

"im sorry - he left you alone at my party ?! full of adults and strangers ?!" nikki emphasized, talking with her fingers, signaling she was angry

even zeddy huffed, knowing that was fucked up on another level. "bro... he knows better." zeddy said, shaking his head

the young girl chose to change the subject, "anyway, i told melo that he should ask her out... so it might happen !" nico smiled

zeddys focus was called back to the game, and so was nicos. she watched the game intently, keeping her eye on jalil

"hey, whats your name ?" a voice asked, seemingly coming from right next to nico. she turned her head in confusion, being met with a white boy around her age with blonde hair

nico pointed to herself, "me ?" she double checked, not wanting to embarrass herself. when the boy nodded in confirmation nico told him her name.

the boy nodded, "your names pretty ! im sebastian" he introduced, holding his hand out for nico to shake, which she did. "what team are you rooting for ?" he asked, trying to hold some conversation

"rwe, what about you ?" nico asked, trying to be polite. this boy seemed nice so he didn't deserve the cold shoulder all because she was upset about the nelson situation

he made an 'ooo' sound, "punchmade, guess we're enemies then, huh ?" he joked

nico let out a short chuckle, "yeah I guess so" she agreed, going along with the joke

while they were both distracted with their conversation, jalil made a three, the crowd making a loud 'boom' sound

just to mess around, nico joined in, holding up finger guns and pretending to shoot at sebastian, making him laugh and hold his hands up in surrender

after the crowd settled and the game continued, the two continued to hold some chitchat.

it was evident to them that neither of them wanted the other, sebastian could tell by nicos somewhat stand offish body language, and she could tell by his phonecase that him and a girl kissing on it

"do you play for punchmade ?" she asked, crossing her arms. nico could see nikki staring at the twos interaction, her eyebrows raised in confusion and interest.
