Jude had made an epiphany after Simone left.
Getting with Raji was nice, at first, but it soon became clear to Jude that she was treating it like a PR relationship despite them meeting on their own. She did everything, minus the actual girlfriend part.
And the more Jude thought about it, the more he wanted to just cut ties with her completely. He tried to be with her, truly. After gaining closure with Simone he thought he was ready to try, but there was the possibility that closure was never what he needed.
Jude's phone vibrated on his stomach, interrupting his mind. Ironically, it was a call from his girlfriend. Jude sighed before pressing the device to his ear. "Hello?"
"Hey, Jude," she chirped through the phone. "Did you win your game?"
To avoid saying anything he was going to regret, Jude simply huffed before hanging up the phone, placing it down on his nightstand. It took ten seconds before it started buzzing repeatedly until it grew unbearable to ignore, prompting him to pick up the phone once again.
