More and more cases keep coming up. Panic finally spread to the masses. Capsule Corp now has security guards everywhere. Bulma's husband, Vegeta, wanted to stay to protect his wife, but his wife convinced him to help on the streets. Half of the Straw Hats continue to stay here, so it should be in good hands.
(Y/N) slumps on a chair, looking towards the ground. He doesn't seem particularly filled with any emotion, he just seems empty. Dotted around him, on the walls of the lab were giant whiteboards filled with equations and theories. Luffy was watching Naruto in his container, while Bulma and Urahara wearily started to speak to (Y/N).
Bulma: This plague is cropping up in cities all over the world. It seems to even be popping up further in throughout the Jump worlds. This is a multi-global pandemic unlike anything we've ever faced.
Urahara: We know what it is. We've broken this thing down. We know the face of this monster. We even know it's name.
At that sentence, (Y/N) stirred slightly, his eyeballs shifting to look at Urahara.
Urahara: Vijivshiy Meruem-Rosaeus. Otherwise known as Meruem's Rose. It's not exactly a disease. It's gene therapy that includes the common bacteria found in Chimera Ants.
(AUTHOR NOTE: Chimera Ants are a species of beast from the series, Hunter x Hunter. They have the unique ability where if a queen eats a species, her next children will have the abilities of the eaten species!)
Urahara: It's post-conflict science based on the premise that if you want to win a global nuclear war then you have to adapt the survivors to live in such a world.
(Y/N): ...Yeah. Scientists are jackasses, not new. Does this mean you have a plan to fix this?
Bulma: In theory. (Y/N), we know what the plague is, but that's only the first step in developing a treatment protocol. To retro-engineer an anti-virus from the infected will take months, by then this will have consumed everything. We need some of Meruem's Rose.
Urahara: A large shipment of Meruem's Rose was brought into Tokyo by the Fire Tank Pirates. They thought it was a bioweapon they could sell. Unfortunately, the pirate team was ambushed and killed. We don't know what happened to the shipment.
(Y/N): So, it's another dead end?
Bulma: We have a lead. Reports from multiple authority figures that despite the weak reason why he would do it, the ambush fits a well-known M.O.
(Y/N) glares at Bulma.
(Y/N): Who?
As the conversation continues, Luffy and Naruto continue to stare at each other through the containment. Glaring.
Luffy: ...
Naruto: ...
After, getting all the information needed, (Y/N) leaves the building and heads to the exterior, reaching a gate where a few of the bodyguards are.
Sanji: Huh? Oh, (Y/N).
