It was a rather quiet afternoon in the bounty, with Sensei Wu not around, we all were free to start the day at our own pace. Nya decided to gather us around after breakfast to discuss the history of the serpents and their abilities, thinking it'd be useful for us in battle.

I looked over to Cole's paper, he was doodling a pretty cool drawing of himself in battle. I grinned and decided to draw in my notes too, coming up with a pretty decent portrait of him. I tapped his shoulder and smiled as I held up my drawing. His eyes widened and he scribbled down on his paper. He folded it and handed it to me, putting a finger on his lip. Zane gave me a smirk as I tried to unfold it, but Nya snatched it away.

"Y/N, I love you and all but this is really important! You can flirt with Cole later- ACHOO" Everyone snickers at her comment and she sneezes, "Uh, is someone wearing perfume? I'm severely allergic to perfume." All our eyes go to Jay, who's now whispering loudly to Kai.

"You told me it was men's cologne!!"

"Meh, I get them mixed up." Everyone but Jay, Nya and I laugh and she shoots a glare at her brother.

We all stand up, Cole fixing his papers, "Ah, looks like class is over. Time to start stomping some Serpentine before they find any Fangblades."

"Wait! Y/N, Zane, could you stay please? I need to ask you guys something..." She blushes. Me and Zane share a mischievous look and walk to her before Jay stumbles in front of us.

"Uh, hey uh, Nya, I'm sorry. The reason I was—you know—I went to Kai because—look. What I'm trying to say is—"

"I know. It's just a cruel joke. I should be fine. Please, go fight snakes." She replies angrily.

"No, no, no, no!! I was trying to impress you. Before Sensei left, he said our heart was the key to unlocking our True Potential." He nervously mumbled.

"Impress me? But I look so..."

"Fantastic." Nya's face goes pink and I nudge Zane's shoulder, both of us grinning at the sight. "Look, maybe, if you'll let me, I can take you to some big fancy restaurant. You don't have to, if you don't want to..."

"You mean like a date?" Nya interrupts.

"Um, yeah?" Jay agrees hesitantly, his cheeks now a violent red.

"Sure! I'd love to. But you should leave now before the perfume toxins enter my bloodstream and I go into shock. See you tonight!!!" She clutches tightly onto the files in her arms.

As Jay walks away, I flash Nya a cheeky grin and shake her shoulders, "I TOLD YOU HE LIKES YOU!!!!"

"Yes, Y/N is right. Jay's heart rate went up exponentially from 63 bpm to 158 bpm, there's no denying it Nya!" Zane exclaimed.

She squeals in excitement and hugs me and Zane tightly. "This is like my first date ever, I'm so excited!! You guys HAVE to help me, I don't know if I can do this alone!" She pleads.

"Of course we will! Right Zane?" I stare at him and he gives a thumbs up. She hugs us tighter and gives us each a kiss on the cheek.

"Okay! I'll start preparing! You guys better be there later!" She runs off into the corridors with some of her files and waves. Me and Zane share a fist bump and we go our separate ways.

I laid in my bed, carefully scanning each word of my book and eagerly flipping each page. My eyes stayed glued to it before I jumped in surprise, my door being flung open by a panicky Jay.
