"Hey, look what we found lurking in the alleys," one of the thugs sneers, brandishing a metal pipe.
Aurelia steps forward, her voice calm but firm. "I suggest you leave him alone."
The thugs turn their attention to her, sizing her up with wary eyes. "And who might you be, missy?" another one sneers.
