Taylor's POV

I needed to make this right, I feel like I'm going insane. I've been constantly texting Julia on how Lyla's doing, but she's been giving very dry responses. I felt like no one was communicating with me and trying to push me away. I couldn't let that happen, I need Lyla in my life.

"Tay, your phone has been constantly ringing," Travis said as he handed me my phone that was sitting on the kitchen counter.

After everything that happened, he came as soon as he could. He has been making sure that I was still ip and doing things, but at the same caring for me and reminding me that Lyla would come around.

"I'm pretty sure it's Lyla," he said, sitting next to me.

I immediately sat up from my seat and looked at my missed calls. Three missed calls from Lyla. Crap.

I hit call, hoping she would pick up instantly. I felt Travis's arms wrap around me, sensing the stress. It rang for a good while and I thought she wasn't going to answer, until I heard my favorite voice.

"Hello?" Lyla softly said through the phone. I closed my eyes, hearing her voice was like I was on cloud nine again.

"You called? I'm so sorry I didn't answer, my phone wasn't near me at the time, sweetheart. How are you? Is everything okay?" I rambled on.

I heard shuffling in the background and then she sighed. "Everything's fine. I, I wanted to ask you a question," she said in an anxious tone.

I felt my heart skip a beat, this could be anything.

"What is it darling? Tell me," I answered.

"Who's my dad?" she said in almost a whispered voice.

I knew this question would come up sooner or later. I stared at Travis, not knowing if I had the ability to even speak of him. Especially towards Lyla, the most important person in the world to me and her own biological father doesn't know she exists. He left me on my own, he didn't deserve her.

"Do you know all of the guys I've dated, hun?" I asked, wondering if she could do the math instead.

I wasn't proud to date him, but he gave me the greatest gift of all.

"You said you were nineteen..." she went on.

"Oh my god, oh my god. Ew!" she yelled almost gagging through the phone, making my chuckle.

"Baby, stop it. It's not that bad!" I laughed.

"No! It is that bad! You had me with John Mayer?!" she yelled through the phone, even Travis could hear it.

I shook my head at her reaction. "Sorry hun," I apologized.

"Did my parents know?! Oh my god, I can't believe this," she said, moving around in the background since there was a lot of noise.

"Yes, they should," I said, hearing her groan.

"Baby?" I asked, after a while of just hearing her move around.

"Hm?" she mumbled.

"When can I see you?" I asked, holding my breath. I didn't want to be let down. Knowing her, it seemed like she could burst at any moment.

"Um, I don't know. I don't know if-" she started.

"No, I want to see you. I need to see you, again," I stated sternly. I wasn't going to go without seeing her after a long time ever again.

"I'll ask my parents," she sighed.

I shook my head, "No, I'll see you at my next show. All of you guys," I stated.
