Charlies pov

"A trip?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah I was thinking we could go on a family trip together" dad excitedly showed us a picture of his old theme park "I thought it would be the perfect chance to introduce alastor into the family" he took his hand.

"That sounds wonderful. It sounds like a lovely chance for second chances" mom smiled at alastor.

"Yes lovely" alastor said through gritted teeth.

"I don't know dad" I sighed "I don't think I should leave vaggie alone-"

"Don't be silly" vaggie popped up "go and have fun with your family. We'll be fine"

"Are you sure?" I eyed her worriedly.

"Positive" she kissed my nose "now go have fun"

"Ok" I smiled before following them out.

*Time skip*

"Wow it's just like how I remember it" dad giggled excited "you remember when you were little and I'd take you on your favourite ride"

"The apple coster oh yeah" I smiled at the memory.

"We have to go on it again" dad bounced excitedly "come on al I'll show you the ride" he took alastors hand and led him through the Park. Me and mom follow behind.

"Just as colourful as I remember" mom smiled softly "doesn't it bring back memories"

"More like bittersweet memories" I muttered. Mom's eyes narrowed as an awkward silence.

"Here it is!" Dad hugged his arm "wait have you ever been on a rollercoaster before?" He tilted his head cutely.

"Not really. I never had any reason to try one" he smiled softly.

"Oh my gosh you've got to" he levitated as he took his hands "it's basically a family tradition!"

"Well I suppose I should partake then" he allowed himself to be dragged into the line. I followed closely behind.

*Time skip*

Lilith's pov

"Wooh what a rush!" Charlie jumped off, her hair a mess.

"Just like old times eh honey" Lucifer ruffled her hair. I smiled at them. They used to be my family. I wish we could be close again.

While Charlie was grabbing a drink I appeared behind Lucifer "I would like some alone time with Charlie"

"Huh?" He looked up in surprise "I mean this is supposed to be a family day out"

"I understand that but me and Charlie haven't been clicking lately" I twirled my finger around my hair, a bad habit I had when I was nervous "I'd like a chance to rekindle our relationship"

"You girls have hit a rough patch" he scratched his head "alright. Me and al will go grab a toffee apple and you girls can have a moment in the farris wheel"

"Thank you darling" I kissed his cheek. Despite all that happened I'm grateful for him. He smiled before whispering something to alastors. He nodded before walking away.

"I back- Where'd the boys go?" Charlie looked around in confusion.

"They left to get snacks" I stated "hey how about while we wait we take a trip down to the farris wheel"

"No it's fine. I can wait" she said quickly.

"Nonsense" I grabbed her by the shoulders "let's go have fun" I led her to the wheel. I will make this work.

Charlie's pov

I sat opposite my mom as the ride rose. This felt so painfully fermillier. Back when me, mom and dad would go on this ride to see the whole of hell. Back when we were a family.

"Isn't this nice" she smiled softly "finally a chance for us girls to talk"

"Since when have you wanted anything to do with me?" I said bitterly.

"Now Charlie that's not fair-"

"No!" I stood up angrily "What's not fair is that you took me away from my father! What's not fair is that you abandoned me! I had to grow up without a mom or dad because you couldn't be bothered with me!"

"Charlie" her eyes softened.

"Fuck this, I want off!" I tried to exit only for the ride to stop.

"Sorry folks we've run into a small malfunction" the workman said apologetically "we'll have it up and running in a few minutes"

"Fuck!" I groaned as I sat back down.

"Charlie" mom looked up with earnest eyes "I know this is hard to understand but I didn't perposfully abandon you"

"Bullshit" I spat.

"It's the truth" she took my hands "things got so difficult after the divorce. I was so desperate to bring things back to the way things were that I made a deal that I came to regret"

"No" my eyes widened.

She looked away shamefully "I couldn't come back to you after this. So I swore I'd break my chains and then return to you. When I saw vaggies interview I thought I'd found my chance. I never thought I'd find you there too"

"I can't believe you abandoned me for such a stupid reason!" I squeezed her hand "mom I didn't care how powerful or respected you were. I just wanted my mom!"

"I realise that now" she smiled sheepishly "I guess all I'm hoping for now is a second chance at being the mother you deserve"

"That depends" I folded my arms "no more tricks?"

"No tricks"

"No more lies and manipulation?"

"Not even one"

"And you don't have anymore soul slaves?"

"I'll release them all now if that's what you want"

I exhaled "alright then, I think I'd like to try this mother daughter stuff again"

"Thank you darling" she stroked my cheek and just like that I felt like a little girl again. Like no time had passed at all.

Suddenly the ride started again "seems they fixed it" mom stated "do you still want to get out?"

"And miss out on this mother daughter bonding experience? you must be joking?" I took a seat next to her. She leaned her head against mine as we took in the view..
