Alby sat on the bed in the Medhut shirtless, staring at nothing. His legs were hanging down on the side, his arms crossed over his chest. He looked a lot better now, but tears were welling up in his eyes.

Apparently Teresa had woke up with something in her pockets, two syringes with blue liquid in them. W.C.K.D was printed in small letters on the syringe. They had inserted the liquid when Alby had attacked Thomas, and it made him better.

Eliana walked closer to get a better sight at their leader, but still had a distance from him, just like the others. Besides Newt and Thomas, who was already by his side.

"Alby, you all right?" Newt spoke up, bending down to look at his friend.

When he didn't give an answer, Thomas came closer and bent down in front of him. "Hey, Alby," A pause. "Alby, we might have just found a way out of the Maze."

Thomas and Minho went back to the Maze the day after they find the weird item in the dead Griever. Then somehow opened a new passage with it, which they said looked where the Grievers would go throughout the day.

Of course they was not sure on anything, it was very hard to be sure on things in such a place. But after they had opened the new passage, the whole Maze had somehow fell apart. Like they had solved the whole thing.

After some quiet seconds, Alby shook his head slowly. "We can't. We can't leave." He was refusing to look at Thomas, pain in his eyes. "They won't let us."

"What are you talking about?" Thomas asked, looking up at the destroyed leader they now had.

"I remember."

"What do you remember?" Asked Thomas again.

"You." Alby finally turned his head to look at Thomas. "You were always their favorite, Thomas. Always."

Everyone looked at Thomas and Alby with confused looks, scared looks. Boys outside were heard shouting, but it wasn't loud enough to make out what they were shouting.

"Why did you do this? Why did you come here?" The tears was now falling down Alby's cheeks, defining his fear.

The shouting grew louder and boys were panicking outside of the Medhut. Alby pressed his hands against his head while leaning down, now crying as the others left the hut.

Eliana was the last one to get out, boys running around everywhere. Torches in their hands, looking for places to hide. Panic welled up inside of her as she heard Winton telling Thomas that the Doors weren't closing.

She followed the other who was now jogging towards the entrance of the Maze, sticking by Chuck's side. Eliana looked down at her watch, and it was past time when the Doors usually close, but they were wide open.

Before they even knew, loud banging sounds were heard. Which made the most of them cover their ears. Eliana turned around, and the other Doors was now opening. All of them.

She didn't pay attention, but Thomas, Newt and Gally was telling everyone what to do. She snapped out of here thoughts, when Chuck was tugging at her arm and telling her to come with him and Winston.

They ran of towards the Councilhall, Chuck explaining that they were supposed to barricade the doors. It was chaos, boys were now running away from one of the entrances and screaming that the Grievers were coming.

Her breathing got stuck in her throat, knowing that so many will get hurt if Grievers attack. The whole Glade will most likely get destroyed.

The three started to barricade the doors and windows of the Councilhall, working fast but making sure it holds for at least some time. Screams and yelling were heard from the outside. Along with Grievers screeching and the clicking when they move.

Putting her fear and feeling aside for the moment was probably best, so that's what she did. Soon a few others ran in, not everyone, but it was still a relief. When everyone was inside they locked the doors.

Sounds of a Griever was coming from right outside, maybe more than just one. It was banging on the main door, which everyone flinched at.

Knowing that she would do anything to save the Gladers, her eyes found a dagger and took it. It was not much, but always something. She backed away from the door as if it would help.

Before they knew it, the Griever was on the roof. And it was somehow not breaking. It was slightly see through, so they could see it. Everyone backed away to the sides, along with Eliana.

It all happened so fast, the Griever had down the whole roof. And sticks were falling down everywhere, and on them.

One or two boys were suddenly taken. And a turn around she could see Chuck in the Grievers grip, people trying to pull him down. Out of nowhere, Alby screamed and started hitting the Grievers arm, and Chuck was back on the ground.

Everyone was yelling, but it all sounded like buzzes and weird sounds in ears. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't focus on a single thing, making her helpless. Her eyes couldn't focus either, but she could see a Griever taking Alby, and the others holding him back. And it took him.

Everyone was suddenly making their way outside, so Eliana followed. The whole glade was ruined, nearly everything was on fire, but the Grievers had left. The screeching was still heard, but it was long in the distance.

Three people where walking towards them, the one at the front was walking fast. When he got closer, you could see it was Gally. He approached Thomas, and not hesitating he slammed his fist against his cheek. The force made Thomas fall to the ground, everyone trying to calm Gally down.

"This is all you, Thomas. Look around."

"Back off. It's not Thomas' fault."

"You heard Alby. He's one of them.

"One of who?"

"He's one of them, and they sent him here to destroy everything, and now he has. Look around, Thomas. Look around. This is your fault."

Eliana was standing beside Teresa, her attention towards Gally arguing. A few mumbles from Thomas and Teresa grabbed her attention. And Thomas was holding the needle the Grievers sting people with.

"No, are you out of your mind?" Eliana spoke up, her eyes flicking down to the item in his hands.

"Maybe he's right. I need to remember."

Before she could take the thing out of his hands, he had already stabbed himself with it, falling to the ground. Everyone rushed forward, and Gally was finally quiet.

Eliana glared at Gally, and he noticed. Before she ran of to the Medhut, to get the other syringe that saved Alby.
