6- If Only Those Memories Were Forgotten

"Kill yourself! See if I care!" Were the last words Sanemi said before leaving Giyuu for Kanae.

Right, Giyuu wanted to talk about how he was feeling left out and how his depression might be taking over... and Sanemi just told him that another girl was so much better and just told him to kill himself.

And that's when Giyuu stopped feeling nay emotions.

No feelings.

His world was completely blank, nothing felt like life anymore.

Nothing felt worth living anymore.

But taking his own life would be too dramatic for him.

Just imagine, 'Giyuu Tomioka, the water pillar dies of suicide all because someone left him.'

But he needed to feel something...

So, that night, he took a razor blade and pressed it against his thigh.

Right now, he was in the bathroom, sitting on a chair near the bathtub, sliding a razor blade against his thigh... just to try a feeling something.

The other cuts around the same area came like beads of a broken necklace falling onto the ground... one after another...

After that day, he managed to expand his canvas and cut around his stomach to his arms.

It was truly an experience for the raven.

But then... a terrible news spread across the demon slayer corps... Kanae died.

She was gone... forever...

And she was someone Giyuu was close to...

They would talk almost all the time...

He was still friends with her despite what Sanemi did that involved her.

So why couldn't he cry for her death?

He was a fucking monster...

He couldn't even cry for a close friend's death...

He needed to be tortured for this...

He slowly walked to his kitchen...

His empty dark-blue eyes searched around, until he found what he was looking for.

A knife.

He took the knife into his hands and stared at his reflection.

He looked like a dead corpse... like he was stuck in the path between life and death...

So why not just cross the line and finally die?

He doesn't see any problem with that.

And so he raised the knife before burying it deep into his stomach and twisting it.

It hurt, it hurt really badly.

But that was not enough, Kanae was periced through the stomach, he needed to do the same to himself.

And so he removed the knife and continued to stab himself again and again and again.

"Water pillar-sama!"

The bleeding ravenette turned to face the person who called his title.

It was a kakushi, a female one to be specific.

"A-ah..." Was the only thing Giyuu was able to get out before passing out.

When he opened his eyes, [much to his dismay] he woke up in a recognizable hospital-like place.
