The room was covered in paintings, absolutely beautiful masterpieces hung on every wall. He simply blended in with the art work, being a piece of art himself.
"Why'd you take me away?"
"Because you're safer here."
There was an awkward pause and his staring was starting to make you uncomfortable.
"You're Hyunjin, right?"
He hummed in agreement. You waited to assess the situation before asking the thing that had been on your mind this whole time.
"Do you want to kill me?"
He smirked. "Tempting, but, no. That would be a waste."
You relaxed a little only to stiffen again when he stood to his feet and walked closer, leaning over you and moving the hair from your face.
"Ever since you entered this house, I smelled something sweet. I was wondering where it was coming from. Looks like I found it."
You swallowed hard. You thought he didn't want to kill you. But now he was looking at you like he might.
"Believe me, I'll keep you alive. That much was true." He grabbed your wrist, keeping his eye contact, making you squirm until he tightened his hold and you stopped moving, again, feeling like a deer in the headlights.
He grasped your wrist a little more lightly when you had stopped struggling against him, and brought it up to his lips where he placed a soft kiss on it. You wanted to get away as fast as you could, especially when his teeth started to show.
You weren't going to make it were you?
Without anymore hesitation, he had his teeth sunk into your skin. You clenched your jaw and closed your eyes.
He got ahold of your other hand, pushing you down further on the bed so you couldn't move as he started drinking from your wrist. You wanted to scream, but it felt like it was only silence coming out, so all that followed were tears.
Hyunjin enjoying the taste more than he could have imagined, taking great pleasure from the experience, almost losing himself, but releasing you before he could. He took the time to lick at what was left on your skin, and his lips.
He watched as you cried beneath him and tried your best to cower away. He again moved your hair from your face and rubbed the tears from your cheeks before getting off his bed to stand.
"You may be interested to know that those with a pure heart have the best tasting blood. And I happen to have the most self control in this household, next to Felix." Hyunjin sat back in his chair and fixed his eyes on you like he always did. You sniffled and held your wrist to your chest. "I haven't tasted blood that good, so you have my trust for the amulet. I think you're worthy." You took note of how much Hyunjin's leg was bouncing like he was agitated. And how much he tapped on the armrest with his finger. He took a deep breath before saying the next part as calmly as he could. "But I'm gonna need you to run. As fast as you can." You instantly looked at his eyes. They were glowing with a bloodlust you hadn't seen in any of them.
You got up from the bed at alarming speed and booked it out the room as he followed the instant you moved. Your wrist hurt like hell, but you were going to die if you didn't take a risky jump. The moment you made it to the railings you swung yourself over, hanging by your arms, and let go only seconds before Hyunjin made it to you, swiping at your arms but just missing, so he bolted down the stairs instead, jumping the last eight steps.
You were on your feet again, despite how hard you landed, and far you fell. You raced towards the living room, where everyone's attention was now on you.
