But it Said Enough

Yura's hands shook slightly as she zipped up her duffel bag. The morning sun filtered through her apartment window, casting a warm glow over the room. Today was the day. She and Jeno were heading to Jeju for Kyubin's birthday.

She glanced at her reflection in the mirror, her nerves evident in her wide eyes. "You can do this," she whispered to herself.

Taking a deep breath, she grabbed her bag and headed downstairs to the cafe, where Jeno was waiting. He arrived an  hour ago.

He greeted her with a bright smile, his calm demeanor instantly soothing her jittery nerves. "Ready?" he asked, his voice warm and reassuring.

"As ready as I'll ever be," she replied, trying to match his confidence with a shaky smile of her own.

The drive to Incheon Airport was filled with light conversation, Jeno's steady presence a comforting anchor in the sea of her anxiety. Upon arrival, Jeno led her through the bustling terminal with practiced ease, their bags checked and boarding passes in hand.

Before boarding, Jeno steered her towards the crew lounge for a moment. "I want you to meet some friends of mine," he said, his tone casual.

Yura's heart rate spiked, her nerves flaring anew. "Your friends?"

Jeno nodded, a reassuring smile on his lips. "Don't worry, they're great. You'll like them."

Jeno opens the door in front of them and lead them to a lounge area. Yura trailed behind him as they approached three men who turned to greeted them. "Jeno!"

"Yura, this is Mark, Renjun, and Jaemin," Jeno introduced, gesturing to each in turn. "Mark and Renjun are also pilots, and Jaemin is a flight attendant."

Mark, with his easygoing smile, extended a hand. "Nice to finally meet you, Yura."

Renjun nodded, his expression friendly. "Hello! You might remember me, I was with Jeno that day at your cafe?"

Yura plastered a smile. "I do! Nice to meet you all," she managed, her voice a bit shaky.

Jaemin, with a teasing glint in his eye, sidled up to Jeno. "So, this is the girl, huh?" he whispered, just loud enough for Jeno to hear.

Jeno shot him a warning glance, but Jaemin's grin only widened. Yura, thankfully, was too busy answering Mark's questions about her to notice the exchange.

As they chatted, Yura couldn't help but feel a bit overwhelmed. Jeno's friends were friendly and welcoming, but the newness of it all was a lot to take in. Her mind raced with thoughts of the trip, the upcoming reunion with Kyubin, and the pressure of maintaining their fake relationship.

When it was time to board, Jeno guided her to the first-class cabin, his hand lightly on her back. "Courtesy of my job," he said with a wink.

Yura's anxiety spiked again as they settled into their seats. She rummaged through her bag, pulling out a small bottle of medication. Jeno watched with a concerned expression as she took a pill, her hands trembling slightly.

"Are you okay?" he asked gently, his voice filled with genuine concern.

She gave him a weak smile. "I just get anxious when flying," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "The meds help calm me down."

Jeno's expression softened. "Is it that bad? Do you want to switch seats?" he asks, his voice gentle.

Yura shakes her head. "It's alright. Thank you." she murmured, her anxiety easing slightly.
