Moonlit Promises (Izana X Reader)

Chapter 4

Izana and Kakucho take you out for a picnic, heading deep into a secluded forest to maintain their tough reputations. The forest is lush and tranquil, providing a perfect escape from the chaos of their lives. The three of you find a beautiful clearing with a gentle stream nearby, setting up a blanket and unpacking the picnic basket.

The afternoon is filled with laughter and joy. Kakucho, usually reserved, seems to relax in the tranquil surroundings, and even Izana lets his guard down. You take out your camera, capturing cute moments of Izana and Kakucho as they share stories and tease each other.

At one point, you pull out your sketchbook and begin sketching the beautiful scenery and your two companions. Izana watches you with a curious smile, intrigued by your talent. "You're really good at that," he comments, leaning over to see your drawings.

"Thanks," you reply, feeling a warm glow from his praise. "I love capturing moments like these."

As the sun starts to set, you pack up and head back. Izana insists on walking you back to your apartment while Kakucho heads to their penthouse. Upon arriving at your place, you invite Izana in, eager to introduce him to Chifuyu, your beloved cat.

Chifuyu, curious and friendly, quickly warms up to Izana. The three of you spend the evening playing and cuddling together, filling your small apartment with laughter and warmth.

"It's getting late," Izana remarks, glancing at the clock. "Maybe I should head back."

You hesitate, not wanting the evening to end. "Why don't you stay over? I mean, if you want to," you suggest, feeling a bit shy.

Izana considers it for a moment, then nods. "Sure, I'd like that."

Since your apartment doesn't have a guest room, you both end up in your bed. Neither of you feels awkward about it; instead, there's a comforting sense of closeness. As you settle in, Izana slides an arm around your waist from behind, pulling you closer. You can feel his warmth, and it makes you feel safe, secure and makes your heart beat faster.

"Goodnight, Y/N," Izana murmurs softly.

"Goodnight, Izana," you reply, a smile forming on your lips as you drift off to sleep, feeling content in his embrace.

The next morning, you wake up to find Izana still holding you gently, his expression peaceful and relaxed.

You gently wake Izana. "Izana, it's time to get up," you whisper softly, giving his shoulder a light shake.

He stirs, slowly opening his eyes. "Morning," he mumbles, a small smile forming on his lips.

You both get up and head to the kitchen. As you prepare breakfast, you chat casually.

"Did you sleep well?" you ask, placing a plate of toast and eggs on the table.

"Yeah, I did," Izana replies, stretching. "Your bed is surprisingly comfortable."

You chuckle. "Glad to hear it. So, what are your plans for today?"

Izana takes a bite of his toast and shrugs. "Just the usual gang stuff. Meetings, dealing with business. You know how it is."

You nod, even though you can't fully comprehend the complexities of gang life. "Well, stay safe, okay?"

He gives you a reassuring smile. "I will. Thanks for letting me stay over."

"Anytime, Izana," you reply, genuinely meaning it.

After breakfast, Izana heads home. The next two days pass by uneventfully, and you find yourself missing his company more than you'd like to admit.
