CHAPTER EIGHT

A few days have gone by since Carly officially proposed to Freddie that day in the car.   She's in the bathroom and, looks down nervously at the pregnancy stick hoping she wasn't pregnant.     

Please don't be pregnant please I can handle being a mom to Millicent but I can't to a new born I know I'm just going to throw that baby out the window the moment it starts crying she begged. 

The timer went up and, she looked at the stick and, she was indeed not pregnant.

Oh, thank goodness Carly says as she sighs with relief.  She ended up throwing the stick right into the garbage and, washed her hands. 

She walked out of the bathroom with relief Freddie stood at the door as she came out.

So, did you get an answer Freddie asked?

We're not pregnant Carly says with joy. 

Yay, Freddie cheered as he hugged Carly. 

I don't think now's the time to be a mom like I can handle Millicent but I don't think I'm ready for a new born yet Carly explained.

I'm Sorry if I took things to far that night Freddie apologized.

No, your fine it was very enjoyable oh, also have you taken your anxiety medicine yet Carly asked?

I have not thanked you for reminding me he says as he kissed her on the lips. 

Freddie then went into the bathroom to grab his meds and, saw the pregnancy stick in the trash. He was curious and, pulled it it out   to make sure Carly was indeed not pregnant.

He looked at the stick and, saw that it said not pregnant on it.   Part of him was happy for Carly but he also would have loved to of had another kid around.   He threw it back into the trash and, grabbed his medicine from the cabinet.

Freddie opened the pill bottle and, popped a Zoloft in his mouth then closed the lid and, put the medicine back.  He then grabbed a glass of water and, swallowed the pill down.

Those pills are disgusting Freddie says to himself. But we gotta take them for Carly and, Millicent. 

Freddie walked out of the bathroom and, saw Carly happily chatting away to Spencer on her laptop. 

Hey, Speaking of Freddie there he is Spencer says as he waved hi to Freddie.

Hey, Spencer how's things going Freddie asked as he got closer to the laptop. 

Good, I'm setting up my art installations for my show coming next month oh, congratulations on the engagement Spencer said. 

Thank you, the ring is sparkly Freddie, says as he's playing with it. 

The ring was supposed to be for Mave I didn't want to get her anything too stereotypical so I got something that can fit on a guy or girl Spencer said. 

Well, it's very pretty Spencer, I love it Freddie joked. 

Gross, don't make it weird anyway, speaking of weird how are things going with you how have you been feeling you look better Spencer asked? 

Ever since being on the medication I feel better though I did get triggered in a grocery store Freddie said as he played with the ring. 

Wait why Spencer asked?

I saw a huge stack of fat cakes near the checkout line and, ran back to my car and cried it was super ridiculous Freddie explained. 

Baby steps mister don't beat yourself up   you had a setback and, that's okay Spencer said. 

I ended up finishing the shopping for him Carly said.

Anyway, I'm going to go get Millicent ready for school Freddie said as he waved goodbye.
