After a few hours

Everyone reached home late in the night. The medical professionals took Heeseung, who layed on the medical bed wrapped in bandages and wires, to his room.

"Is Jake okay?" He asked a guard.

"I believe he is. He is currently in his room, sir"

"Great" Sunghoon was about to head there when he saw Jay going towards Jake's room.

'Right.. Jay is here now. Jake wouldn't want me around now..' Sunghoon thought as he went to take a shower.

With Jayke (After an eternity💀)

Jay tried to open Jake's door but it was locked. He knocked on the door impatiently as he wanted to see Jake as soon as possible.

"Jake? It's me" He said after a minute.

The door opened to reveal Jake, who felt overwhelmed by the emotions of the previous incident and the new ones after seeing Jay.

Jay smiled and hugged him and that was all it took for Jake to burst out crying.

Jay held Jake tightly, feeling the tremors wracking his husband's body. He stroked Jake's back soothingly, whispering comforting words into his ear.

"Shh, it's okay, Jake. I'm here now. You're safe," Jay murmured, his voice steady despite the chaos that had unfolded earlier.

Jake clung to Jay, his sobs gradually subsiding into soft whimpers. He buried his face in Jay's chest, taking in his familiar scent, finding solace in his presence.

"I was so scared, Jay," Jake whispered, his voice muffled. "I thought... I thought something terrible was going to happen to me. I don't wanna die, I wanna live! I can't live in this house anymore!!"

Jay pulled back slightly, cupping Jake's face in his hands. He looked into his eyes, seeing the fear and exhaustion etched in them. "You're safe now, Jake. You're not alone."

Jake shook his head, tears welling up again. "But what if something happens again? What if next time, I can't handle it? I feel like I'm drowning, Jay. I don't know how to be strong in this world. Everything is so terrifying."

Jay's heart ached at the desperation in Jake's voice. "Hey, look at me," he said firmly, waiting until Jake's eyes met his. "We'll figure this out together. It's okay to be scared. This life isn't easy, but you're not alone in facing it."

Jake's chest heaved as he tried to steady his breathing, but the weight of his emotions was overwhelming. "I keep seeing that man's face, Jay. The one I... the one I killed. And now all this- it's too much. I don't know how to keep going."

Jay's expression softened, and he hugged Jake even tighter. "You're stronger than you think, Jake. What you did, you did to protect yourself. And it's okay to feel what you're feeling. You don't have to be perfect."

Jake's body shook with sobs again, and he clung to Jay like a lifeline. "I feel so guilty, Jay. Guilty for what I did, guilty for being so scared. I feel like I'm failing you, failing myself."

"You're not failing anyone," Jay whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "You're human, Jake. It's okay to be scared. It's okay to feel guilty. But you need to forgive yourself. None of this is your fault."
