Hello there. =)

Little change of plan for this story. I originally wanted to make this story cover season two and three of Miraculous Ladybug, but the fire I had for this story isn't as hot as it used to be when I started. So I'll only cover season two. With a few original chapters, it'll work out, trust me.

On top of that, I have many other ideas for other stories. Maybe I'm gonna start another story? Idk. This doesn't mean I'll abandon this one. I'd put it on a hiatus at most.

And I have to admit that the reason this came out so late is because I was playing Elden Ring a little too much, and I just really didn't like the episode. I don't know why. And I can't really skip it since Luka is introduced, and he'll kinda play a semi-big part in your relationship with Marinette moving forward. (Don't worry, no unnecessary drama. I hate that myself.)

But since you've been waiting for it I won't bore you any longer.
Let's get into it!

———————

It's been about a week since your talk with Ladybug, and you honestly thought a lot about it. After all, the only reason you didn't want to tell her who you are is because you didn't want to make her see you differently. If you end up confessing to her when she knows, she might get stressed, as well as pressured into entering the relationship in fear of you revealing her identity if she doesn't agree. You see it as selfish because you can't even muster up the strength to ask her out. And even then, what will she say if she finds out your identity during your relationship? Instead of acting upon the intent you have, you are simply destroying the relationship between your hero persona and her. Those kinds of questions were infecting your mind during the past week.

On top of that, you didn't have the time to focus on that. Instead, you are currently helping setting up Juleka's moms... home... ship...? You didn't know what to call it, but the point is that there is a music festival around the corner and you need to help set up the ship for that.

You are currently carrying a box of cables towards Nino, who is on a ladder setting up a speaker.

Y/N: "Hey Nino, where should I put these?"

Nino: "Ah! Dude, you can put them right over there!" Gestures towards a pile of boxes.

Y/N: Nods. "Got it."

While you carry the box towards the pile you catch wind of the small conversation Nino has right after.

Alya: "Hey, Nino, did you hear from Adrien, by any chance?"

Nino: "He had something to do with his old man. He said he'll come right after."

You see Marinette and Alya giggling and Alya teases her by hitting her arm with hers and lets out a sigh.

Y/N: (As long as I postpone the inevitable I'll keep digging myself a deeper hole... But how am I expected to even remotely get the confidence to confess if I see stuff like this every day? Ugh...)

Suddenly Juleka's mom, Anarka Couffaine, came out of the captain's cabin.

Anarka: "Captain Anarka speakin' to ya! So, how's it comin' along, my young pirates? Ready to celebrate the-" Stops and fixes her glasses before going towards Marinette. "Whatcha up to, there, matey?" Takes the box she was holding out of her hands.

Marinette: "Uh-uhm- Hello, ma'am. I-I'm cleaning up for tonight! Your boat is gonna be as clean as a whistle!"

Anarka: "You're cleaning? Hahahaha!" Throws stuff from the box onto the floor. "We never pick up in this house! Didn' my daughter tell ya? We like the lived-in look! We have no rules on the Liberty! Out of chaos comes creation! Messiness is life!"
