SpongeBob was waiting for Patrick to come home. They lived close to each other in the neighborhood. Squidward was there but he didn't like the fact that they would be playing around the yard for so long. Well, they were not just closer than brothers, there's something that meets their eyes.
SpongeBob was in love with him. They grew closer just like any sea creatures would always do (A/N: I do have a clip of SpongeBob and it's from Escape from beneath glove world.)

"So SpongeBob, I heard you have been waiting for me," Patrick waited by the front door to see him. "Uh yes! Besides, Squidward didn't want us to annoy him because he knows that he was screaming get out of my house,"
"That's not good. If we could make this happen, I bet nobody knows what's happening next. Anyways, what do you want to do today?" "I was thinking we could go to the Krusty Krab, but I don't have work today," "That's okay SpongeBob, you can come over to my house, I know your parents wouldn't mind," Patrick tells him.
SpongeBob: Oh yeah? That would be great.
Patrick: Anything for my best friend.
SpongeBob: You know I never felt like this before.
Patrick: what do you mean?
SpongeBob: well you know, I was thinking about what you would do to experience it yourself to see if you can date someone.
Patrick: Oh okay.
SpongeBob: Although, I hope Mr. Krabs can understand that I wanted to be where I can be.
Patrick: I feel the same way.
Later on,
They were at the Krusty Krab when Mr. Krabs saw him at the kitchen asking what he was doing. "Oh nothing Mr. Krabs, it's just that Patrick and I have something in common," "Oh so you and Patrick are becoming a thing?" He asked. "Well yes Mr. Krabs," "Oh okay. I don't want your relationship to be interfering with your work, so get back to work," "Aye, Aye sir!" He said.
1 hour later,
Patrick came to pick him up from work by walking from his house. "SpongeBob, I came here to pick you up," "Patrick!" "So you nitwits are together," He asked. "Yeah Squidward, don't you think Patrick and I are going to be a couple?" Squidward laughed his head off. "Oh yeah? Well good luck with that," They went home before they headed out to go on a date together and watched a movie.
Patrick held SpongeBob's hand and planted a kiss on his lips realizing that he wanted to spend the night at his house with him. Even after they were watching a movie together,
They went back to the Pineapple and went in bed together. Gary the snail was there to snuggle up with SpongeBob and Patrick. "I had a great night with you," SpongeBob said smiling. "Me too best friend!" Patrick replied back. They were sleeping in bed together, but little did he know that SpongeBob is about to find out that he's pregnant.
