Clarke's words were like a shiver down Bellamy's spine.
She's been poisoned.
No, no. It couldn't be true. She—River couldn't be poisoned.
"Is there an antidote?" Clarke shouted in the Grounder's face as she held up the bloody knife.
Something clicked in Bellamy's mind. "Vials." Leaving River's side only for a few moments, he staggered over to where they'd found the vials in the Grounder's bag. He picked it up, careful not to drop anything. "It's gotta be here."
Clarke threw the blade into the floor before taking the vials from Bellamy to inspect them closely. "You'd have to be stupid to have a poison around this long without an antidote," She murmured under her breath. "Which one?"
All the Grounder did was sway back and forth a bit and remain silent.
Bellamy grew more desperate by the minute as River proceeded to shake. "Answer the question!"
"Show us." Octavia's tone was far more soft than the rest as she spoke from her place beside River's body. "Please."
"Which one? Our friends are dying and you can stop that!" Clarke begged, but it did nothing to affect the Grounder.
"I'll get him to talk." Bellamy wiped his nose and trudged across the room to retrieve a seatbelt from one of the many seats. However, Octavia grabbed his arm before he could.
"Bellamy, no."
"He wants Finn and River to die! Why can't you see that?!" He roared in his sister's face before returning his attention towards Clarke. "Do you want him to live or not?"
Octavia inched closer to the blonde once she noticed a slight agreement with Bellamy twitching on her face. "Clarke, you even said it yourself. This is not who we are! He was protecting me. He saved my life!"
"We're talking about Finn and River's lives!" Bellamy boomed.
With that, Clarke mumbled, "Do it."
River's groans and whimpers tugged right at Bellamy's heart strings and he wasted no time in cutting off a seatbelt. He walked up to the Grounder with determination as he cut off his shirt to reveal a bunch of tattoos on his chest.
"Bellamy, no. Please."
Octavia's voice washed away as River's suffering grew worse and he knew that if he didn't do something now, she might not make it. And he wasn't going to let that happen.
In a fast motion, Bellamy raised the seatbelt above his head and slammed it as hard as he possibly could against the Grounder's chest. The sound of metal colliding with his body echoed, making a few people stagger back a little.
