A tomcat entered into a cave in the mountains, his dark ginger fur looking almost black in the night. Dangling from his jaws were two kits. Many cats stared in disbelief and confusion. Many murmurs broke out as he trotted deeper into the cave. He entered a split in the stone wall that lead to a den. InSide many kits mewled and played, as their mother rested. The tom sat the kits down so he could speak. "Ravenwing," he began. "follow me, this is urgent!" A black she-cat rose from the kits, and began following the tom out of the den. The two picked up a kit a piece and crossed the cave to another split in the stone. They entered a small den with one nest. "Bloodstar, where did you get these kits?" The she-cat spoke, sitting a kit on the ground; it squealed and curled up to its brother. Bloodstar turned to face Ravenwing. "Ravenwing, you must mother these kits!" Ravenwing was shocked at the request. But regardless, Bloodstar continued. "Tawnyfur led a patrol out right before sunset, We were low on prey. He found these two at the border of Treeclan territory!" Ravenwing blinked. "That explains their scent. Their parents must've been Rogues and must've lived in Treeclan territory for some time," she mewed. "I do have milk, but that'd give me five kits to care for!" Bloodstar licked her ear. "You've done so before, and all made it to warriors!" He whispered in her ear. "You're a good queen Ravenwing, these kits will thrive under your care!" He curled his tail with hers. "Our clan needs more warriors Ravenwing, and fast!" Ravenwing licked the toms face. "I will take them," she meowed.
