Evealyn tries to pry more information out of Percy, yet is met with the same result of vague answers and telling her that he can't say. Her grandmother up and leaving without letting her know beforehand still being a mystery to her. "Don't worry kiddo, you see her again when she's well rested." Evealyn can't understand why Percy won't just tell her where her grandmother is. Rather than act like she's sleeping when clearly her bed is empty. See feels incredibly frustrated with just having more questions than answers. Evealyn writes her grandmother a letter back.

Dear Jose

I don't know where you've gone and everything is so confusing right now. I'm not sure how to explain what's going on or if I can. I don't know where to go with this but I need your help to understand.

Climbing to the Stars

Eve

She places the letter down on the desk like her grandmother had told her. Not sure how the letter will reach her when she won't even show up. Evealyn turns around and picks up Misty holding her in her arms and following Percy out the room. Evealyn takes a moment to look back at the desk before closing the door.

Misty chirps as they are going down the stairs. Although her frustrations had become milder, her thoughts felt like a puzzle box with a million jumbled pieces that don't fit one another. They both enter the dinning room where Dylan and Rae are already seated at the table. They look over at her worried by her sudden decision to head upstairs. Evealyn is unable to focus on her food, even though it's her favorite meal Beef curry with naan bread and loads of potatoes and carrots. She has too many things running through her head. One of those things being flashes of her nightmare every time she blinked. Rae as well as everyone at the table were concerned seeing her suddenly jolt or seem out of breath and barely eating. Evealyn couldn't stand it, excusing herself from the table and making her way out the dining room. Rae followed her up the stairs, they both walked till Evealyn reached her room. Upon opening the doors and entering Rae sees Evealyn suddenly stumble to the ground. "Ev" Rae became alarmed by this rushing over to her. She is confused as to what had happened to her. She helps her to her feet a little and walks her over to the bed.

"Okay, look tell me what's going on so I can help you." Rae says, really worried and unable to understand what's happening to Evealyn.

"If I could I would, and frankly I don't even know why." Evealyn says, feeling just as frustrated not being able to explain her troubles.

"You can't get help if you don't explain." Rae says, not understanding why she won't tell her what's wrong.

" I tried explaining, but my brain ceases up when I do that." Evealyn explains, just as frustrated with her.

" What do you mean your brain ceases up?" Rae inquires, still not getting where she's coming from.

" I mean my brain goes completely blank. Like any thought I had got erased." Evealyn explains wanting Rae to understand her predicament. She looks over to her, Rae's eyes shifting back and forth as if she's thinking about something.

"Maybe it really does have something to do with it." Rae says, softly getting a hint of something.

"What has to do with this confusion I'm in." Evealyn asks, Rae starts to shift a little having realized she said it out loud. "Rae, tell me what you know."

Rae hesitantly explains to Evealyn about her eyes turning a grayish murky white from time to time. Also that she notices it whenever Evealyn seems a little weak or experiencing strong negative emotions. Telling her that she tends to zone out of space and back almost as if normal.

Evealyn listens to all this attentively trying to process all she's hearing. "Wait, wait, wait, how long has this been going on for?" Evealyn questions wanting to get the facts straight.

"Around the time you broke down, when you found out about being a Cheverian." Rae says feeling a little guilty now having kept it from her for that long.

Evealyn stares at her bed in disbelief, feeling another sliver of crack inside her forming. She tries to comprehend what she just heard.

"Do the others know about this?" Evealyn says voice only carries half of emotion.

"It doesn't seem that way. It's as if they didn't notice." Rae says, having also wondered that for a while.

"If you knew, then why were you keeping this from me?" Evealyn asks, feeling hurt that she knew this was happening and left her in the dark.

" I don't know either, maybe I thought it would overwhelm you when you're trying to figure everything out." Rae says, which was half true but she also wanted to figure out more about it so she could help her navigate once she told her.

Evealyn doesn't want to hear anymore of this. Feeling completely done with all the secrets, questions and confusion. She doesn't know what to believe anymore. Evealyn slips down into her covers and rolls onto her side facing away from Rae.

"Ev, come on, let's talk about this." Rae says, feeling worried about her choice. But Evealyn doesn't respond.

"Please, talk to me. It was never my intention to keep this from you honestly. I–" Rae sees that Evealyn doesn't even move, feeling that she'd been shut out.

"Okay, fine you don't want to talk. I'm guessing you want me to leave." Rae says, trying to hold down the lump forming in her throat. Taking her silence as a yes she starts to turn around to leave.

Rae stops when she hears a shuffling of sheets and looks back. She sees a space had been left for her like the previous night. Rae softly smiles at this, knowing that even though she might not forgive her she wouldn't want to be alone right now. In all honesty she didn't want to leave her alone. Rae slips off her shoes and climbs in beside her. Evealyn's treads of brown hair facing her as she looks over. " Goodnight Ev, I'm sorry." Rae says, feeling cold air between them.

Rae sighs, going to sleep believing there's a possibility they will talk it out in the morning. Evealyn who was idly staring at the wall, a mind filled with confusion and betrayal slowly looks over her shoulder. Hearing Rae's light snores with a frown on her lips. Evealyn can't help wondering why everyone is keeping secrets from her. Evealyn finds it hard to sleep or much rather not sure if she should. She fears closing her eyes now, having a war within her mind on believing.

While fighting the heaviness of sleep and the chaos within her mind she hears something. A bubbling sound of water, Evealyn looks around wondering where it was coming from. Her eyes caught on the crystals by her window and they swayed back and forth in a wiggling motion. However, her windows were closed so there was no breeze to sway them which confuses her a little.

What's more the crystals emitted faint lights and she could smell the scent of salty sea air enveloping her smell. She sees little bubbles and small creatures sitting on them as they float. They somewhat remind a bit of the Flotonics and unlocks a hazy childhood memory of hers.
